Notice to Ward Members Posted on Their Doors After My Hometeacher (Randy Olsen) Attempted to Kill Me (right before trial by Stake, after receiving first two written revelations)

I had been sent by the Lord to Deseret Book where I amazingly found a rare sale on the Journal of Discourses for $88, which I purchased and found the following quotes which I also posted on the doors:

  • The Revelations of Jesus Christ: http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0-595-28287-3
  • "But we ask, does it remain for a people who never had faith enough to call down one scrap of revelation from heaven, and for all they have now are indebted to the faith of another people...does it remain for them to say how much God has spoken and how much He has not spoken?"  Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Two 1834-37 Pg.60
  •  Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Six 1843-44 Pg.365
When a man goes about prophesying, and commands men to obey his teachings, he must either be a true or false prophet.

  •  "All men are liars who say they are of the true Church without the revelations of Jesus Christ and the Priesthood of Melchizedek, which is after the order of the Son of God."  Joseph Smith; TPJS p. 376
  • "He that can mark the power of Omnipotence, inscribed upon the heavens, can also see God's own handwriting in the sacred volume: and he who reads it oftenest will like it best, and he who is acquainted with it, will know the hand wherever he can see it...." (T.P.J.S., p. 56)

·         10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (New Testament | Galatians 1:10 - 12)

EVIDENCE AND A PROPHECY

What evidence do you have that what I have declared through the agency of the Holy Ghost, which is my constant companion by ordinance and by right, is not true? I have your word only. Behold, you have no evidence, but I have the written testimony of all these, my brethren, the Prophets of Israel, as testimony, and I have the testimony of thunderings and lightnings which shall streak forth, and I have the testimony of the earth which shall move to and fro as a drunken man in that day, and I have the testimony of a voice which shook the ground upon which I stood, and I have also the testimony of the Holy Ghost which dwelleth within me to the confounding of the world, and death and hell, and the wicked and unbelievers and scoffers, and I have the ministration of angels, one of which hurled the Green Beret onto his back unhurt, and I have the testimony of being removed from my body to behold His face, and I have the testimony of speaking in the Adamic tongue for upwards of an hour while conversing with Him in the Spirit of the Most High, and I have the testimony of my laying my hands upon the Heroin addict whose heart was pure and who was humble and desired a witness after baptism by immersion at my hands, and him receiving in great power, the Holy Ghost and exclaiming aloud while under the power thereof, and I have the testimony of laying my hands upon the sick and they being healed, and I have the testimony of casting the devils out of a young woman afflicted therewith and seeing with my own eyes them as they left her in a fury, and departed, and the testimony of revelations and the Spirit of Prophecy and the Spirit of Administration and Knowledge and Power. And now what is it that you have against me? Nothing, save it be your word only and your evil hearts of unbelief and darkness and confusion of mind and the collective testimony of others like unto yourselves...

I see a bad moon a-rising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earth quakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

I hear hurricanes a-blowing,
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quit prepared to die.
Look's like we're in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Don't go 'round tonight
it's bound and take your life,
there's a bad moon on the rise.  John Fogerty, 1969

Devil Finds Comfort and Solace in Mormon Church Today

Listening to  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/artbulla/2011/11/21/devil-finds-comfort-and-solace-in-mormon-church

12 And this Anti-Christ, whose name was Korihor, (and the law could have no hold upon him) began to preach...
13 O ye that are bound down under a foolish and a vain hope, why do ye yoke yourselves with such foolish things? ... For no man can know of anything which is to come.
14 Behold, these things which ye call prophecies, which ye say are handed down by holy prophets, behold, they are foolish traditions of your fathers. (Alma  30:12-14)

Liberal cultural elite in Church typified by Mr. Hale teach doctrines identical with antiChrist Korihor above. "no man can know of anything which is to come." Clips played of Mr. Hale explaining "myths" of past generations couched in the Bible such as the accounts of Noah, Jonah, Adam: "Behold, these things which ye call prophecies, which ye say are handed down by holy prophets, behold, they are foolish traditions of your fathers."  Thus the devil is comfortable as members of the Church, and conversely members seem equally comfortable with the devil being in their midst.

Anti-Christ used Bruce Metzger as source saying same quoted Eusebius attacking authenticity of the Book of the Revelation of John as credible.  Assertion by this Anti-Christ who called into the program proven false by the following which was read over the air:

CANONICAL AUTHORITY OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

Hermas gives many indications of having read the Revelation, for he often imitates John's description of the New Jerusalem, and sometimes borrows his very words. He speaks of the Book of Life and of those whose names are written in it. He speaks also of the saints whom he saw, being clothed in garments white as snow. Papias also, doubtless, had seen the book of Revelation; for some of his opinions were founded on a too literal interpretation of certain prophecies of this book. But neither Papias nor Hermas expressly cites the Revelation.

Justin Martyr is the first who gives explicit testimony to the Apocalypse. His words are, "And a man from among us by name John, one of the apostles of Christ, in the Revelation made to him, has prophesied that the believers in our Christ shall live a thousand years in Jerusalem; and after that, shall be the general and indeed eternal resurrection and judgment of all men together." In the epistle of the Church of Lyons and Vienne, in France, which was written about the year of our Lord one hundred and eighty, there is one passage cited from the book of Revelation: "For he was indeed a genuine disciple of Christ, 'following the Lamb whithersoever he goes.'"

237

Irenæus expressly quotes the Revelation, and ascribes it to John the apostle. And in one place, he says, "It (the Revelation,) was seen no long time ago in our age, at the end of the reign of Domitian." And in the passage preserved by Eusebius, he speaks of the exact and ancient copies of this book; which he says, "was confirmed, likewise, by the concurring testimony of those who had seen John."

Theophilus of Antioch, also, as we are assured by Eusebius, cited testimonies from the Apocalypse of John, in his book against Hermogenes. And in his works which are extant, there is one passage which shows that he was acquainted with the Revelation. "This Eve," says he, "because she was deceived by the serpent—the evil demon, who is also called Satan, who then spoke to her by the serpent—does not cease to accuse: this demon is also called the Dragon."

The Revelation of John is often quoted by Clement of Alexandria. In one passage, he says, " Such an one, though here on earth he be not honoured with the first seat, shall sit upon the four and twenty thrones, judging the people, as John says in the Revelation." That Clement believed it to be the work of the apostle John is manifest, because in another place he expressly cites a passage, as the words of an apostle; and we have just seen that he ascribes the work to John.

Tertullian cites many things from the Revelation of John; and he seems to have entertained no doubt of its being the writing of the apostle John, as will appear by a few quotations; "John in his Apocalypse, is commanded to correct those who ate things sacrificed 238to idols, and commit fornication." Again, "The apostle John in the Apocalypse, describes a sharp two-edged sword, coming out of the mouth of God."—"We have churches, disciples of John, for though Marcion rejects his Revelation, the succession of bishops, traced to the original, will assure us that John is the author." And in another place he has a long quotation from the book of Revelation.

Hippolytus, who lived in the third century, and had great celebrity, both in the eastern and western churches, received the Revelation as without doubt the production of the apostle John. Indeed, he seems to have written a comment on this book, for Jerome, in the list of his works, mentions one, "On the Revelation." Hippolytus was held in so high esteem, that a noble monument was erected to him in the city of Rome, which, after lying for a long time buried, was dug up near that city, A. D. 1551. His name, indeed, is not now on the monument, but it contains a catalogue of his works, several of which have the same titles as those ascribed to Hippolytus by Jerome and Eusebius, together with others not mentioned by them; among which is one "of the gospel of John and the Revelation."

Origen calls the writer of the Apocalypse, "evangelist and apostle;" and, on account of the predictions which it contains, "prophet" also. In his book against Celsus he mentions "John's Revelation, and divers other books of Scripture." It was Origen's intention to write a commentary on this book, but whether he ever carried his purpose into execution is unknown. Nothing of the kind has reached our times.

239

Dionysius of Alexandria, who lived about the middle of the third century, and was one of the most learned men of his time, has entered into a more particular discussion of the canonical authority of the book of Revelation than any other ancient author. From what has been said by him, we learn on what account it was that this book, after having been universally received by the earlier Fathers, fell with some into a certain degree of discredit. About this time the Chiliasts, or Millennarians, who held that Christ would reign visibly on earth with his saints for a thousand years, during which period all manner of earthly and sensible pleasures would be enjoyed, made their appearance. This opinion they derived from a literal interpretation of some passages in the book of Revelation; and as their error was very repugnant to the feelings of most of the Fathers, they were led to doubt of the authority, or to disparage the value of the book from which it was derived.

The first rise of the Millennarians, of the grosser kind, seems to have been in the district of Arsinoe, in Egypt, where one Nepos composed several works in defence of their doctrine; particularly a book "Against the Allegorists." Dionysius took much pains with these errorists, and entered with them into a free and candid discussion of their tenets, and of the true meaning of the book of Revelation; and had the satisfaction to reclaim a number of them from their erroneous opinions. His own opinion of the Revelation he gives at large, and informs us, that some who lived before his time had utterly rejected this book, and ascribed it to Cerinthus; but, for his own part, he professes to believe that it was written 240by an inspired man, whose name was John, but a different person from the apostle of that name; for which opinion he assigns several reasons, but none of much weight. His principal reason is, that the language of this book is different from that of the apostle John in his other writings. To which Lardner judiciously answers, that supposing this to be the fact, it will not prove the point, for the style of prophecy is very different from the epistolary or historical style. But this laborious and learned collector of facts denies that there is such a difference of style, as to lay a foundation for this opinion; and, in confirmation of his own opinion, he descends to particulars, and shows that there are some striking points of resemblance between the language of the Apocalypse and the acknowledged writings of the apostle John.

The opinion of those persons who believed it to be the work of Cerinthus, is utterly without foundation; for this book contains opinions expressly contrary to those maintained by this heretic; and even on the subject of the millennium his views did not coincide with those expressed in the Revelation. Caius seems to have been the only ancient author who attributed this book to Cerinthus, and to him Dionysius probably referred when he spoke of some, before his time, who held this opinion. Cyprian, bishop of Carthage, received the book of Revelation as of canonical authority, as appears by the manner in which he quotes it. "Hear," says he, "in the Revelation, the voice of thy Lord, reproving such men as these, 'Thou sayest I am rich and increased in goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and 241miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.'" Rev. iii. 17. Again, "So in the Holy Scriptures, by which the Lord would have us to be instructed and warned, is the harlot city described." Rev. xvii. 1-3. Finally, "That waters signify people, the divine Scriptures show in the Revelation."

Victorinus, who lived towards the close of the third century, often cites the book of Revelation, and ascribes it to John the apostle. That Lactantius received this book is manifest, because he has written much respecting the future destinies of the church, which is founded on the prophecies which it contains.

Until the fourth century, then, it appears that the Revelation was almost universally received; not a writer of any credit calls it in question; and but one hesitates about ascribing it to John the apostle; but even he held it to be written by an inspired man. But, about the beginning of the fourth century, it began to fall into discredit with some on account of the mysterious nature of its contents, and the encouragement which it was supposed to give to the Chiliasts. Therefore Eusebius of Cesaræa, after giving a list of such books as were universally received, adds, "After these, if it be thought fit, may be placed the Revelation of John, concerning which we shall observe the different opinions at a proper time." And again, "There are, concerning this book, different opinions."

This is the first doubt expressed by any respectable writer concerning the canonical authority of this book; and Eusebius did not reject it, but would have it placed next after those which were received with universal consent. And we find at this very time, 242the most learned and judicious of the Fathers received the Revelation without scruple, and annexed it to their catalogues of the books of the New Testament. Thus Athanasius after giving an account of the twenty-two canonical books of the Old Testament, proceeds to enumerate the books of the New Testament, in the following manner, which he makes eight in number:—1. Matthew's gospel; 2. Mark's; 3. Luke's; 4. John's; 5. The Acts; 6. The Catholic epistles; 7. Paul's fourteen epistles; and 8. the Revelation, given to John the evangelist and divine in Patmos.

Jerome, in giving an account of the writings of John the evangelist, speaks also of another John, called the presbyter, to whom some ascribed the second and third epistles under the name of John. And we have already seen that Dionysius of Alexandria ascribed the Revelation to another John. This opinion, we learn from Jerome, originated in the fact, that two monuments were found at Ephesus, each inscribed with the name John; but he says, "Some think that both the monuments are of John the evangelist." Then he proceeds to give some account of the Revelation. "Domitian," says he, "in the fourteenth year of his reign, raising the second persecution after Nero, John was banished into the isle of Patmos, where he wrote the Revelation, which Justin Martyr and Irenaeus explain." Augustine, also, received the book of Revelation, and quotes it very frequently. He ascribes it to the same John who wrote the gospel and the epistles.

From the view which has been taken of the testimonies in favour of the book of Revelation, I think it must appear manifest to every candid reader, that 243few books in the New Testament have more complete evidence of canonical authority. The only thing which requires explanation is, the omission of this book in so many of the catalogues of the Fathers, and of ancient councils. Owing to the mysterious nature of the contents of this book, and to the abuse of its prophecies, by the too literal construction of them by the Millennarians, it was judged expedient not to have this book read publicly in the churches. Now, the end of forming these catalogues was to guide the people in reading the Scriptures; and as it seems not to have been desired, that the people should read this mysterious book, it was omitted by many in their catalogues. Still, however, a majority of them have it; and some who omitted it, are known to have received it as canonical.

This also will account for the fact, that many of the manuscripts of the New Testament are without the Revelation; so that there are extant, comparatively, few copies of this book. But the authenticity and authority of the Apocalypse stand on ground which can never be shaken; and the internal evidence is strong in favour of a divine origin. There is a sublimity, purity, and consistency in it, which could not have proceeded from an impostor. In addition to all which, we observe, that the fulfilment of many of the predictions of this book is so remarkable, that to many learned men who have attended to this subject, the evidence from this source alone is demonstrative of its divine origin. And there is every reason to believe, that in the revolution of events this book, which is now to many sealed with seven seals, will be opened, and will be so explained, 244that all men will see and acknowledge that it is indeed "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass—and sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John, who bare record of the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ." Rev. i. 1, 2.

In Praise of Ezra Taft Benson

April, 1969, Ezra Taft Benson discerned that 2 Nephi 28 decribes the current apostasy of many Mormons in the "modern" Church in his day and who are the majority now. "Apostate clique", comprised of liberals who desire to be popular with the world and conform to the views of the day, such as "being in the forefront of the civil rights movement", and other ungodly ideas. They are ashamed of the Everlasting Gospel and wear "stiff necks and high heads": "Yes, within the Church today there are tares among the wheat and wolves within the flock. As President Clark stated, "The ravening wolves are amongst us, from our own membership, and they, more than any others, are clothed in sheep's clothing because they wear the habiliments of the priesthood. . . . We should be careful of them. . . ." (Era, May 1949, p. 268. See also, Conference Report, April 1949, p. 163.) The wolves amongst our flock are more numerous and devious today than when President Clark made this statement. President McKay has said that "the Church is little, if at all, injured by persecution and calumnies from ignorant, misinformed or malicious enemies. A greater hindrance to its progress comes from faultfinders, shirkers, commandment-breakers, and apostate cliques within its own ecclesiastical and quorum groups." (Era, December 1967, p. 35. See also, Conference Report, October 1967, p. 9.) Not only are there apostates within our midst, but there are also apostate doctrines that are sometimes taught in our classes and from our pulpits and that appear in our publications. And these apostate precepts of men cause our people to stumble. As the Book of Mormon, speaking of our day, states: ". . . they have all gone astray save it a few, who are the humble followers of Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err because they are taught by the precepts of men." (2 Ne. 28:14.) (Elder Ezra Taft Benson, Conference Report, April 1969, First Day-Morning Meeting, p.11)

It is well that our people understand this principle, so they will not be misled by those apostates within the Church who have not yet repented or been cut off. But there is a cleansing coming. The Lord says that his vengeance shall be poured out "upon the inhabitants of the earth. . . . And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord; First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me. . . ." (D&C 112:24-26.) I look forward to that cleansing; its need within the Church is becoming increasingly apparent.
The Lord strengthened the faith of the early apostles by pointing out Judas as a traitor, even before this apostle had completed his iniquitous work. So also in our day the Lord has told us of the tares within the wheat that will eventually be hewn down when they are fully ripe. But until they are hewn down, they will be with us, amongst us. The hymn entitled "Though in the Outward Church Below" contains this thought:
"Though in the outward Church below
Both wheat and tares together grow,
Ere long will Jesus weed the crop
And pluck the tares in anger up. . . .
We seem alike when here we meet;
Strangers may think we are all wheat;
But to the Lord's all-searching eyes,
Each heart appears without disguise.
The tares are spared for various ends,
Some for the sake of praying friends,
Others the Lord against their will,
Employs, his counsels to fulfill.
But though they grow so tall and strong,
His plan will not require them long;
In harvest, when he saves his own,
The tares shall into hell be thrown."
(Hymns, No. 102.)
Tares among the wheat
Yes, within the Church today there are tares among the wheat and wolves within the flock. 163.)
The wolves amongst our flock are more numerous and devious today than when President Clark made this statement.
Not only are there apostates within our midst, but there are also apostate doctrines that are sometimes taught in our classes and from our pulpits and that appear in our publications. 28:14.)
The precepts of men
Let us consider some of the precepts of men that may and do cause some of the humble followers of Christ to err.
Christ taught that we should be in the world but not of it. Yet there are some in our midst who are not so much concerned about taking the gospel into the world as the are about bringing worldliness into the gospel. They want us to be in the world and of it. They want us to be popular with the worldly even though a prophet has said that this is impossible, for all hell would then want to join us.
Through their own reasoning and a few misapplied scriptures, they try to sell us the precepts and philosophies of men. They do not feel the Church is progressive enough-they say that it should embrace the social and socialist gospel of apostate Christendom.
They are bothered that President McKay believes that "the social side of the Restored Gospel is only an incident of it; it is not the end thereof." (Letter of the First Presidency to Dr. Lowry Nelson, July 17, 1947.)
They attack the Church for not being in the forefront of the so-called "civil rights movement." They are embarrassed over some Church doctrine, and as Lehi foretold, the scoffing of the world over this and other matters will cause some of them to be ashamed and they shall fall away. (See 1 Ne. 8:28.)
Publishing differences with Church
Unauthorized to receive revelation for the Church, but I fear still anxious to redirect the Church in the way they think it should go, some of them have taken to publishing their differences with the Church, in order to give their heretical views a broader and, they hope, a more respectable platform.
Along this line it would be well for all of us to remember these words of President George Q. Cannon:
"A friend . . . wished to know whether we . . . considered an honest difference of opinion between a member of the Church and the Authorities of the Church was apostasy. . . . We replied that we had not stated that an honest difference of opinion between a member of the Church and the Authorities constituted apostasy, for we could conceive of a man honestly differing in opinion from the Authorities of the Church and yet not be an apostate; but we could not conceive of a man publishing those differences of opinion and seeking by arguments, sophistry and special pleading to enforce them upon the people to produce division and strife and to place the acts and counsels of the Authorities of the Church, if possible, in a wrong light and not be an apostate, for such conduct was apostasy as we understood the term." (Deseret News, November 3, 1869.)

Devil Finds Comfort and Solace in Mormon Church
by Art Bulla
Sun, Nov 20, 2011

"It is well that our people understand this principle, so they will not be misled by those apostates within the Church who have not yet repented or been cut off. But there is a cleansing coming. ...First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me. . . ." (D&C 112:24-26.) I look forward to that cleansing; its need within the Church is becoming increasingly apparent." Ezra Taft Benson

Textual Criticism of Liberal Mormon Scholars Exposed

Listening to "Textual Criticism of Liberal Mormon Scholars Exposed" by Art Bulla on #BlogTalkRadio  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/artbulla/2011/11/18/the-revelations-of-jesus-christ

Playback of clip of exchange between Art Bulla and liberal Mormon self-styled "historian and scholar" analyzed.  Caller caught in several lies and misstatements.  Used Bruce Metzger to attempt to destroy credibility of the Book of Revelation and Hebrews in the Bible and said Eusebius was the source, but could not produce the quote.  Also openly laughed at and mocked Journal of Mosiah Hancock, son of Levi Hancock, 2nd Presdent of Seventies in Nauvoo, and leader of Mormon Battalion, because this contradicts narrative of "all is well in Zion". Co-Messiahship of the One Mighty and Strong defended from chatroom attacker.

Mosiah-hancock

Early prophecies of Joseph Smith on present apostasy of Mormons read. Wandal Mace, and Mosiah Hancock Journal.

38 O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? (Morm 8:38)

"The next day the Prophet came to our home and stopped in our carpenter shop and stood by the turning lathe. `I will show you the travels of this people.' He then showed our travels thru Iowa, and said, `Here you will make a place for the winter; and here you will travel west until you come to the valley of the Great Salt Lake! You will build cities to the North and to the South, and to the East and to the West; and you will become a great and wealthy people in that land. *** You will live to see men arise in power in the Church who will seek to put down your friends and the friends of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many will be hoisted because of their money and the worldly learning which they seem to be in possession of;" (Mosiah Hancock Journal, p. 19)

5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed. 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. Isaiah 52:5 - 6)

  Revelation received 4/19/2004, Baja, Mexico.

Revelation received 4/19/2004, Baja, Mexico.
Therefore I the Lord God had a sure defense, or a wall erected for the defense of the kingdom .  But the wall was torn down and the enemy, saith the Lord, came and sowed tares amongst the wheat.  To wit The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field?  from whence then hath it tares?  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this.  The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. HYPERLINK "http://www.artbulla.com/zion/KPIGallery/index.htm" \nThese events are shown to be prophesied.

1. Though in the outward church below,
The wheat and tares together grow;
Jesus ere long will weed the crop,
And pluck the tares in anger up.
For soon the reaping time will come,
And angels shout the harvest home.
2. Will it relieve their horrors there,
To recollect their stations here;
How much they heard, how much they
knew,
How much among the wheat they grew?
3. No! this will aggravate their case,
They perish'd under means of grace;
To them the word of life and faith
Became an instrument of death.
4. We seem alike when thus we meet,
Strangers might think we all were wheat;
But to the Lord's all-searching eyes,
Each heart appears without disguise,
5. The tares are spared for various ends,
Some for the sake of praying friends;
Others the Lord, against their will,
Employs his counsels to fulfil.
6. But though they grow so tall and strong,
His plan will not require them long;
In harvest, when he saves his own,
The tares shall into hell be thrown.
7. Oh! awful thought, and is it so?
Must all mankind the harvest know?
Is every man a wheat or tare?
Me, for that harvest, Lord, prepare.

Brain Farts from Mr. Hale

 Listening to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/artbulla/2011/11/16/brain-farts-from-mr-hale-evolutionist-cultural-mormon

Discussion of probable apostasy and duplicity of Matt.  Failure to pay tithing and neglecting of duties are "fruits"--"By their fruits ye shall know them, saith the Lord.  Those who think they can slide by, and dupe the Priesthood are uniformly detected.  Then Mr. Van Hale, evolutionist, distorter-in-chief, as it were called in with variouis lies and slanders concerning myself, one of which was that I did not adhere and believe in the Doctrine and Covenants, pronounced by Mr. Hale after I had read a recent revelation received by myself on modern Pharasaism in the Mormon Church, with Mr. Hale being mentioned in particular.  Hale proceeded to filitbuster, not allowing interaction unless his volume was turned down in order for Jimmy and I to speak.  Hale defended Bruce Metzger, liberal theologian and textual critic from Princeton, after had declared these were basically anti-Christs who have the agenda of discrediting the authority of the Bible by questioning authorship, writing styles, etc.  Guessing, and speculation in short.  Brain fart: He denied this applied to Bruce Metger and the proceeded from his reading of the same, to question the Book of Hebrews, and Revelation as being valid parts of the canon using Metzger as validation for this point of view!  Amazing!  The temerity of simultaneously speaking out of both sides of one's mouth is truely astounding, and then denying there is any logical fallacy or problem with this posture.  Mr. Hale so much as says: "Who ya gonna belive, your lying ears, or me?"

Ostracism of the Servants of God

Those who cannot bear the light, flee to darkness because of discomfort, hence rudeness, malevolence, hatred, crufifiction, stoning, ostracism of the servants of God.

"The Gospel of salvation is perfectly calculated to cause division. It strikes at the root of the very existence of mankind in their wickedness, evil designs, passions, and wicked calculations. There is no evil among the human family, but at the foundation of which it strikes effectually, and comes in contact with every evil passion that rises in the heart of man. It is opposed to every evil practice of men, and consequently it disturbs them in the wicked courses they are pursuing.
"Whenever the Gospel is preached in towns, cities, country places, or in any community who are in darkness, it never fails to bring light; it manifests their ignorance; it distracts them, and annoys their peace. They say, "I supposed I was wise, happy, comfortable, and well enough off; but here comes something that informs me I am mistaken, that this and the other thing are wrong. It reflects light upon my understanding, and teaches me that my acts, while I live upon the earth, should tend to the glory of God and the peace of mankind. This naturally seems contrary to my feelings, disposition, passions, and traditions, and to every thing about me, except the reflection of truth upon my mind, which enlightens my understanding, and teaches me to glorify God, and do good to my fellow creatures."
The Gospel is not only calculated to divide the people, but it will divide sin from those who embrace it with a true heart. We see almost every principle of righteousness discarded. ...but a few steps more... and complete them in their rebellion against all good and its Author."

by Art Bulla

Those who cannot bear the light, flee to darkness because of discomfort, hence rudeness, malevolence, hatred, crufifiction, stoning, ostracism of the servants of God.

The Gospel of salvation is perfectly calculated to cause division. It strikes at the root of the very existence of mankind in their wickedness, evil designs, passions, and wicked calculations. There is no evil among the human family, but at the foundation of which it strikes effectually, and comes in contact with every evil passion that rises in the heart of man. Dear Sirs,

Subject: Enemy Within the Church

Hope you are doing well, however you should be apprised of a serious problem:  the enemy within the Church.  You are, no doubt, well aware of this problem, but your view may be out of focus or not right concerning this matter.  I am writing you at the behest of Israel’s God that you be warned that “my skirts may be clean” before the Lord, I therefore I am complying.  There is a well-developed “fifth column” within the Church bringing damnable heresies as wolves in sheep’s clothing within “the flock” whose mouths must be stopped.

I refer to those who pride themselves as the learned elite and scholars who pretend to have the objective truth, excluding revelation from God advancing heresies such as “progressive revelation”.  This rubric they think allows them to alter the everlasting gospel, which cannot be done with impunity.  I received a revelation on this matter, (which you may object to, I do not care) from the God of Israel concerning this, as well as substantiating quotes.  This, it turns out, is an ancient phenomenon:

The reason Jesus was so angry on many occasions was the threat posed by elite Pharasaical doctorcraft, which now is termed "scholarship" in Mormonism.  Actually the Devil is the very same, human nature is the very same, and God is the very same as yesterday, therefore little has "progressed".  This phenomenon encountered by Jesus and the Apostles was an attempt by the Devil to subvert the Kingdom of God with man-made institutions or humanism which rely solely on reasoning and learning, excluding revelation from God.  Saul (later named Paul) was a student of Hillel considered even today as the greatest scholar of Judaism.  Of course Hillel did not receive revelation from God, but operated by his own reasoning. Thus Saul was led to persecute the true Church, from which Judaism had deviated, considering them heretics.  After the conversion of Paul, he commented on his former learning and thoughts under the tutelage of Hillel: " When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." (1 Cor  13:11)

Revelation Concerning Present Threat--A Clique of Scholar Elites Received by Art Bulla, Oct 6, 2011:

Being a member of the Church is no guarantee against apostasy from my gospel, which is everlasting, saith the Lord. For did I not come among the Jews with my gospel and they, even they, had also become polluted with the precepts of men, even the Scribes (scholars) Sadducees and Pharisees, saith the Lord? And thus my people were deluded by them and turned away from me by these because of their popularity with the people, despite the mighty miracles which I the Lord God did work among them. Thus it is that scholars and scribes with their learning attempted garner praise from the foolish and ignorant among the people at that time, even as it is now, saith the Lord. For these, whom ye call modern, yea, even those who are known as scholars, historians, are the same as them who fought against me when I the Lord God, while walking the dusty streets of Jerusalem in the day of my power, threatened to topple their doctorcraft, priestcraft, lawyercraft and priestcraft. Yea, thus saith the Lord, Van Hale and those who follow him is one of these scholars, liars and hypocrites. Why think ye that I the Lord God did speak against them in the day of my power among the Jews? It is because these were those through whom the devil does exercise and uphold his dominion in the world, for he verily, saith the Lord, is the prince thereof. And the devil, having practice on many societies before thee O man, desires your destruction when the judgments of God have been poured out upon the reprobate nations who have allowed themselves to be led and dominated by these lawyers, doctors, lawyers, Scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites! For do they not say, that seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord, who seeth us and who knoweth us in the corruption of their hearts and minds, and who subvert the Everlasting Gospel for their own pride, in order to get power and the praise, money, wealth and influence among those who are ignorant and foolish who because of their pride and corruption also uphold them? And thus, I the Lord God was crucified by them, even these doctors, lawyers, merchants who polluted the Temple, liars, scholars, historians, hypocrites! Even so. Amen.

If you desire advice and counsel I would be happy to provide you direction that you be not cut off the people in the day of the Lord, and cast of to where there is weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth, saith the Lord.

“I just know there are men here right amongst us who thirst for the blood of the Prophets of God; and there are those professing to be Saints who are fostering them in their hellish designs; but I pray my heavenly Father to purge out these cursed characters from among us. The time has come when the ungodly and the hypocrites are to be searched out. This is undoubtedly the time the Prophet spoke of when he said, "The sinner in Zion shall be afraid, and fearfulness shall surprise the hypocrite." The people are better prepared for this now than ever they were; for there never was a time when light was reflected upon this people as at the present; no, there never was such a time as there is now; and I know it, if no other man does.”  Brigham Young (Journal of Discourses, 26 vols., 5:, p.25)

“This is indeed a vile and hellish day in which carnality reigns, a day in which men are ripening in iniquity preparatory to the day of burning. In it there is but one ray of hope. The light of the gospel shines in the darkness, and all who will come to that light have power to rid themselves of the curses of carnality and to live as becometh saints.” (Bruce R. McConkie, The Millennial Messiah: The Second Coming of the Son of Man, p.45)

“The qualities of the devil and all fallen angels, are good qualities; they are the very same which they received from their infinitely perfect creator, the very same which are, and must be in all heavenly angels; but they are an hellish, abominable malignity in them now, because they have, by their own self-motion, separated them from the light and love which should have kept them glorious angels.” (An Appeal to all who Doubt)

The hymn entitled "Though in the Outward Church Below" contains this thought: "Though in the outward Church below Both wheat and tares together grow, Ere long will Jesus weed the crop And pluck the tares in anger up. . . . We seem alike when here we meet; Strangers may think we are all wheat; But to the Lord's all-searching eyes, Each heart appears without disguise. The tares are spared for various ends, Some for the sake of praying friends, Others the Lord against their will, Employs, his counsels to fulfill. But though they grow so tall and strong, His plan will not require them long; In harvest, when he saves his own, The tares shall into hell be thrown." (Hymns, No. 102.) Tares among the wheat Yes, within the Church today there are tares among the wheat and wolves within the flock. 28:14.) The precepts of men Let us consider some of the precepts of men that may and do cause some of the humble followers of Christ to err. Lowry Nelson, July 17, 1947.) They attack the Church for not being in the forefront of the so-called "civil rights movement." They are embarrassed over some Church doctrine, and as Lehi foretold, the scoffing of the world over this and other matters will cause some of them to be ashamed and they shall fall away. (See 1 Ne. 8:28.) Publishing differences with Church Unauthorized to receive revelation for the Church, but I fear still anxious to redirect the Church in the way they think it should go, some of them have taken to publishing their differences with the Church, in order to give their heretical views a broader and, they hope, a more respectable platform. Along this line it would be well for all of us to remember these words of President George Q. Cannon: "A friend . . . wished to know whether we . . . considered an honest difference of opinion between a member of the Church and the Authorities of the Church was apostasy. . . . We replied that we had not stated that an honest difference of opinion between a member of the Church and the Authorities constituted apostasy, for we could conceive of a man honestly differing in opinion from the Authorities of the Church and yet not be an apostate; but we could not conceive of a man publishing those differences of opinion and seeking by arguments, sophistry and special pleading to enforce them upon the people to produce division and strife and to place the acts and counsels of the Authorities of the Church, if possible, in a wrong light and not be an apostate, for such conduct was apostasy as we understood the term." (Deseret News, November 3, 1869.) (Elder Ezra Taft Benson, Conference Report, April 1969, First Day-Morning Meeting, p.10-12)

"We have no right to take the theories of men, however scholarly, however learned, and set them up as a standard, and try to make the Gospel bow down to them; making of them an iron bedstead upon which God's truth, if not long enough, must be stretched out, or if too long, must be chopped off-anything to make it fit into the system of men's thoughts and theories! On the contrary," he instructed the Saints, "we should hold up the Gospel as the standard of truth, and measure thereby the theories and opinions of men." (Robert L. Millet, The Power of the Word: Saving Doctrines from the Book of Mormon, p.293-294)

"If the claims of the Church are to be understood as story rather than history, then authority in the Church will eventually pass from the Brethren to the scholars, just as it happened in ancient Israel and in the early Christian Church. For if the scholars know the "objective truth" about the Book of Mormon through their research while the "benighted Brethren" are still struggling under a false perspective and with archaic interpretations, then modern revelation and authority are just part of the myth, part of our "salvation history," and we, like the ancient Church, will ultimately abandon the idea of living prophets and turn to scholars for the "truth." God help us if it comes to that. "  (Monte S. Nyman and Charles D. Tate, Jr., eds., Second Nephi: The Doctrinal Structure, p.403)

"The existence and proof of these ancient people and their teachings prove that those who have labeled or allowed these artifacts (Michigan Tablets) to be labeled phony, are they themselves phony. This includes professors and teachers of higher learning in our educational systems, heads of the Smithsonian Institute, Prophets, Seers, Revelators, leaders, professors and teachers within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, as well as others of other organizations." Duane Ericson

BROAD-MINDEDNESS LEADS TO APOSTASY. I would like for a few minutes to offer a few observations in regard to the question of tolerance and broad-mindedness. We hear so much in these days about being tolerant and broad-minded. I suppose the world will never know how many crimes have been committed through a misinterpretation and misunderstanding of these terms. Satan is very broad-minded, extremely so as long as he can get people to do evil and avoid the truth. He will teach any kind of theory, or principle, or doctrine, if it doesn't conform to the fundamental things of life-the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is even willing to teach some truth, if he can join that truth with error, and by teaching the error with the truth lead men astray. This is how broad-minded he is, and that is how the apostasy came about in the primitive Church.

I am satisfied, and I know that the kingdom of God is governed by a definite, fixed law, that cannot be controverted. We cannot change it because we perhaps become modern and say we are broad-minded, as some people understand broad-mindedness and tolerance to be. It does not change the fact in the least that if we would receive the kingdom of God and enter into its exaltation, we must comply with the fundamental truths, the laws upon which that kingdom is established. We have them; we are the advocates of these principles; they are in our keeping. (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 3 vols., edited by Bruce R. McConkie, 3:, p.298,300)

We Latter-day Saints gratefully acknowledge the Book of Mormon as the keystone of our religion, recognizing that the validity of our faith rests on the validity of the Book of Mormon. In the Church we accept not only the truthfulness of its doctrine, but also the historicity of the events it describes. We believe "that the Book of Mormon is just what it professes to be," as President J. Reuben Clark stated. To teach less than this about it is to deny it.   (Kent P. Jackson, ed., Studies in Scripture, Vol. 7: 1 Nephi to Alma 29 1)

"...the undergirding assumption of those who question the historicity in whole or in part-is a denial of the supernatural, a refusal to admit the role of divine intervention in the form of revelation and miracles and predictive prophecy. It is the tendency, unfortunately, to adopt uncritically the secular presuppositions and methodologies of those who have neither faith nor direction." Stephen E. Robinson

THE REVELATIONS OF JESUS CHRIST

SECTION 53.

VISION OF THE PRE-EXISTANCE, GIVEN TO MOSIAH HANCOCK, (around 1855)

Body of the Vision:

1 When about twenty-one years of age, I was
permitted by the power of God, to
go into His presence and into my
former abode.
2 I saw the Eternal Father on His
throne and His wives on His left side, all
shining in glory; I saw the Savior and knew
Him.
3 It takes the power of the Holy Ghost to tell
the difference between the Father and the Son,
they look so much alike.
4 Jesus said: "Mosiah, I have brought you here
to show you how it was before you went to the
earth.
5 "I had been to the earth; everything looked so
natural and familiar.
6 I seemed to have been a companion of the
Savior and talked with him like a friend.
7 Again, He spoke to me and said : "Look and
see man as he came forth .
8 " I looked in the direction indicated and saw
an innumerable line of God's children
extending further than I could see.
