DISCERNMENT of false spirits. How to discern Holy Ghost from false spirits. That which doth not edify is not of God.

16 Yea, thus saith the Lord, I will reason with you as one man reasoneth with another that ye understand.

17 That which is of me giveth life and light to the Spirit, which doth cause your souls to expand and partake of that fruit which is white above all that is white, and pure above all that is pure.

Call Out of Shawn McCrady and Titles of the Gods

Art Bulla on air called Shawn McCrady's contact no. and challenged him to debate. McCrady a self-confessed laughing "wild man", and former communist, dilitant extrodinaire, the spoiled product of a typical permissive matriarchal Mormon

environment, as a teenager practiced great wickedness, went on a mission, but never repented but covered this evil heart of unbelief and predation against godliness, as a wolf in sheep's clothing, received strong delusion from the devil at the behest of a minister of the devil, who then was emboldened to threw off all pretense, coming out as an anti-Christ, the reprobate he always was, now proclaiming his vision from the devil that the law and the testimony is now superfluous, and all religious affliliation is now superfluous, even the name of Jesus Christ is superfluous, etc, no Apostles, no order in the house of God, non-existent in order that he may assuage his gnawing guilt by doing away with all law and justice to raise his head brazenly in iniquity and becoming a traitor to the brethren, denying the Everlasting Covenant. I predict this son of perdition will not respond to my challenge but hide in the dark as all such do, because their deeds are evil.

 Errors corrected concerning who created what and the

offices and calling of the Gods. It is the office that created the worlds, not the personage assigned to that office for this earth, saith the Lord. Reading from Joseph Musser's great work: "Michael Our Father and Our God": "The difference between the individual and the office held by the individual, when properly understood, provides a true key. “God” is a title, an office...the being who occupies this office of God is an exalted man. The office of “God” has always existed and always will exist. It, the office, is without “beginning of days or end of years.” Those now occupying the office of “God, are not without “beginning of days or end of years.” Their creation as organized entities had a beginning".

TITLES AND OFFICES

The difference between the individual and the office

held by the individual, when properly understood,

provides a true key to the situation.

“God” is a title, an office - a principle; and yet the being

who occupies this office of God is an exalted man. The office of

“God” has always existed and always will exist. It, the office, is

without “beginning of days or end of years.” Those now

occupying the office of “God,” whether to this or other planets,

are not, in their organized capacities, without “beginning of days

or end of years.” Their creation as organized entities had a

beginning, and their existence in their mortal state will have an

end. “Christ,” “Redeemer,” “Savior,” “Messiah,” etc., are also

offices and titles. The office of “Christ” is co-existent with that

of “God.” One is the complement of the other; the two work

conjointly, and each is necessary to the other.

With the office of “God” and “Christ” is associated the

office of “Holy Ghost.” This trinity, properly organized, presides

over the earth. Each inhabited planet or group of planets has such

a Presidency.

“Pharaoh,” a ruling office in Egypt since shortly after the

flood, still exists as an office. The meaning of Pharaoh is “Great

House,” and is in reality a king. We speak of Pharaoh, in the day

of Joseph, as an individual, but the Pharaoh of Joseph's day who

made Joseph Governor of Egypt, was removed by several

generations from the Pharaoh of Moses’ time. The first wrought

righteousness while the latter was destroyed through his

wickedness. Viewed in any other light than that of a title, or

office, the term “Pharaoh” furnishes an inconsistency similar to

that which the scriptures disclose regarding “God.” “Now there

arose up a new king (new Pharaoh) over Egypt, which knew not

Joseph.”

18 And so it is with the titles “Caesar,” “Emperor,”

“King,” “Czar,” “President,” etc. It was the “President” (of the

United States) who sent an army against the Saints in Utah, and

it was also the “President” who befriended the Mormons,

granting them amnesty, returning their escheated property, and

another using his influence against the unseating of a Mormon

Senator in the U.S. Congress. It was the “President” of the

United States who did this, and yet the acts mentioned involved

the acts of three separate individuals, each occupying the office

of “President,” but at different times.

So also exist different offices in the creation and

government of worlds. God is known by various titles, such as

“Michael,” “Jehovah,” “Elohim,” “Father,” “I Am,” “Man of

Holiness,” “Ahman,” etc. In the term “Elohim,” we speak of the

head God, “God Almighty,” the “Council of Gods,” either as

pertaining to earth or to other planets. “Elohim” may also mean

the “Father,” “Grandfather.” It is the first name in the celestial

trinity. “Jehovah” signifies “Son,” and is also referred to as

“Jehovah God,” “Jehovah Christ,” “Father,” etc. Jehovah

occupies the second place in the trinity. “Michael” means “One

like God,” also “Prince,” “Archangel,” “Ancient of Days,”

“Adam,” etc. “Adam” is first man, as “Eve” is first woman or the

mother of all living. These are titles or offices, as are “Elias,”

“Elijah,” and “Messiah.” Each earth is populated by an Adam

and an Eve, with the aid of their descendants. True, these offices

as pertaining to Godhood are frequently used interchangeably,

much in the same light as we refer to the Church and Kingdom

of God. Specifically there is a Church of God and there is also a

Kingdom of God, each having a separate organized identity.

Then there is “Lucifer,” another title or office, also called

“Devil,” “Adversary,” “Satan,” etc.

These and numerous other offices and positions are

eternal in their nature and necessary to the creation, population

and government of planets. On this subject of titles and names,

the late Dr. James E. Talmage, in his book, “Jesus the Christ,”

pp. 35-6, explains:

Christ is a sacred title, and not an ordinary appelation or

common name; it is of Greek derivation, and in meaning

is identical with its Hebrew equivalent Messiah, or

Messias, signifying the Annointed One. Other titles, each

possessing a definite meaning, such as Emmanuel,

Savior, Redeemer, Only Begotten Son, Lord, Son of

God, Son of Man, and many more, are of scriptural

occurrence; the fact of main present importance to us is

that these several titles are expressive of our Lord's

divine origin and Godship. As seen, the essential names

or titles of Jesus the Christ were made known before His

birth, and were revealed to Prophets who preceded Him

in the mortal state.

Jehovah is the Anglicized rendering of the

Hebrew, Yahveh or Jahveh, signifying the Self-existent

One, or The Eternal. This name is generally rendered in

our English version of the Old Testament as Lord,

printed in capitals.”

We think enough is given to show that our references to

God, Christ, Savior, etc., are used more frequently in referring to

the office or title than to the individual. Here are some examples:

“I am the Lord God Almighty, and endless is my name,

for I am without beginning of days or end of years.”

This can refer only to the office, for the individual

occupying that position is not without “beginning of days or end

of years.” He was born-begotten, as all human beings have been.

But he came to occupy an office that has always existed and

always will exist. He, while an occupant of that office, is said to

be “without beginning of days or end of years;” and His name is

“Endless,” because that office never ends, though He Himself

may not always occupy it.

“Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant

whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me

and understand that I am he: before me there was no God

formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the

Lord; and beside me there is no savior.”

This is supposed to be the Savior talking to Israel in

prophecy. He says, “I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of

Israel.” If this scripture is given a literal interpretation it could

not refer to Jesus who was to become the son of Mary, for the

spokesman said, “Before me there was no God formed, neither

shall there be after me.” Reference is to the title or office. There

is only one true and living (office of) God. “Thou shalt have no

other Gods before me;” why? Because there is only one true

God, others being made by man or are man-conceived idols. But

while there is only one true office of God, there are many

individuals permitted to occupy that office or to receive the titles

pertaining thereto in the respective stations to which they have

been or may be assigned. There is only one Colonel to a

Regiment, but there may be different Regiments, each headed by

a Colonel. This is equally true of the latter part of the passage:

“Besides me there is no savior.” There is only one Savior to this

earth, speaking specifically, although broadly speaking, every

man may be a savior to his father's house. The title is referred to.

Jesus Christ will become the Savior to this world, when his work

is completed, and there will be no other Savior (of the world)

besides him. There are other Saviors of other worlds or planets,

but only one for each planet. The title has always existed and

men are accorded the position as they receive their appointments

and quality.

When the Savior appeared to the Nephites after his

resurrection he was introduced by the Father as His “

beloved

Son, in whom I am well pleased

.” Then Jesus calls himself the

“God of Israel, the God of the whole earth”,

21 and the repentant

Nephites called him the “Most High God.” And yet Jesus told

them to pray to the Father in his (Jesus') name. It is evident from

this that while this Jesus was designated the “God of the whole

earth,” and the “Most High God,” there were other Gods higher

than he, His Father being one of them; and indicating further that

such expressions are open to interpretation.

In Doctrine and Covenants, Sec. 95, Jesus Christ calls

himself “Son Ahman; or, in other words, Alphus; or, Omegus;

even Jesus Christ your Lord.” And in verse 7 he calls himself the

“Lord of Sabaoth,” meaning the “creator of the first day, the

beginning and the end.”

By no rule of logic can these several terms be other than

titles. Jesus Christ, son of Mary, was not the creator of the first

day, the beginning and the end; that day was doubtless created

long before this Jesus became an embodied spirit.

“Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God,

who created the heavens and the earth.”

who is infinite and eternal, from everlasting to

everlasting, the same unchangeable God, the framer of

heaven and earth, and all things which are in them.”

By these sayings we learn that God, the father of Jesus

Christ, and not Jesus himself, is credited with being the creator.

And yet, speaking of the “Only Begotten of the Father” generally

supposed to be Jesus, son of Mary, the Lord says:

“That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds

are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are

begotten sons and daughters unto God.”

Again, the Lord told Moses:

“And worlds without number have I created; and I also

created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I

created them, which is mine Only Begotten.”

It is inconceivable that Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, in

his premortal state, created “worlds without end.” The text

clearly teaches that one of the chief functions of the “Son” is to

create worlds, under the direction of the “Father.” It will be

noted that the term “Only Begotten,” is capitalized, clearly

referring to an office and not a specific individual, only as the

individual occupies such office. The Prophet Mosiah, referring to

Jesus who was to be born of Mary, said:

“And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the

Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things,

from the beginning; and his mother shall be called

Mary.”

Here the coming son of Mary “to be called” Jesus Christ

etc., or in other words, he is to receive the title or office, whose

function is to create. Jesus Christ, son of Mary, did not

personally create the heavens and earth and numerous worlds,

any more than Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United

States, freed the Negro slaves. The office did it. The glorified

being functioning in the office at the time did the creating or

organizing by virtue of the office held.

In Ether 3:15, Jesus Christ is credited with creating man;

“and never have I shown myself unto man whom I have

created.” And in Mosiah, 3:8, he was mentioned as “Jesus Christ,

the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all

things.” Here he is designated as the son of the creator.

These are but a few of the scriptures having reference to

the office of Creator, call him Jesus Christ, Almighty God,

Jehovah, Elohim, or what you may, which if not taken in the

light of title or office, become very confusing.

Dr. Talmage, as previously quoted, states that Jesus

Christ, the son of Mary, was the creator of this earth and was the

God who revealed himself to “Adam, Enoch and all the

antediluvial patriarchs.” But this cannot be true for this Jesus

was not himself created in the flesh at that time. True, he

possessed a spirit body, but had not yet qualified to create other

bodies, either spirit or mortal. He could not have spirit children,

for only those who have received mortal bodies, died and have

been resurrected, can qualify for spiritual parenthood. This point,

Dr. Talmage and the Church leaders concede. And certainly

before becoming mortal himself, Jesus could not create mortal

bodies. “Like begets like.”

On this point again we have the testimony of Brigham

Young. Said he:

“After men have got their exaltations and their crowns -

have become Gods, even the sons of God - are made

Kings of kings and Lords of lords, they have the power

then of propagating their species in spirit; and that is the

first

of their27 operations with regard to organizing a

world.

28 Power is then given to them to organize the

elements, and then commence the organization of

tabernacles. How can they do it? Have they to go to that

or give them mortal bodies. much less to make a world for them to

live in.

earth? Yes, an Adam will have to go there, and he cannot

do without Eve; he must have Eve to commence the

work of generation, and they will go into the garden, and

continue to eat and drink of the fruits of the corporeal

world, until this grosser matter is diffused sufficiently

through their celestial bodies to enable them, according

to the established laws, to produce mortal tabernacles for

their spiritual children. This is a key for you. The

faithful will become Gods, even the sons of God;”

Adam, having been mortal on a previous earth and died

and was resurrected and exalted to Godhood, was able to sire

spirit children; and as one in a higher position can function in all

positions below it, he was able to return to mortality and

organize mortal bodies; but Christ - he who was to be born to

Mary - never having before been mortal, could not create mortal

bodies. Neither can a pre-mortal unembodied spirit create an

earth upon which his brother spirits can go and take mortal

bodies and receive the experiences of mortality. The official

creator of this earth claims to have been the creator of many

earths. It is beyond human conception, contrary to all reason and

teachings of scripture, to hold that Jesus, the son of Mary, before

being born in mortality, organized not only many earths, but also

an earth for himself to be born on. True, in the councils of

heaven, presided over by His Father, he doubtless took an active

part in bringing his spiritual brothers and sisters in harmony with

the Father's design to build an earth as their future habitation.

He, no doubt, agreed to the plans in many ways assisted, in

accordance with his capacity to assist, in bringing the earth into

existence. But the earth was built, under the direction of Elohim

and Jehovah, the main builders being Michael and his brethren,

all of whom had gone through mortality, had received a

resurrection, and had qualified as Gods.

Michael, according to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young,

is the Father, he built the earth, brought forth His son Jesus in the

flesh and arranged for Him to manage it. And when Jesus Christ

has finished his work, as the Savior and Redeemer of this world,

doubtless he will be qualified to assist in creating other earths, on

which his spiritual children will be placed.

Noah, Abraham, Joseph Smith, and others were

appointed to occupy certain positions with reference to the

progress and development of the earth. Their missions were to be

accomplished in conjunction with the mission of Jesus, but each

of them was powerless to accomplish his work until given a

body and introduced into a mortal sphere.

In Alma's statement: “

He (the Son of God) is the very

eternal Father of heaven and earth, and all things which in

them is; He is the beginning and the end, the first and the last

;” reference “Is there no more than one God?” asked Zeezrom. There

can be no more than one head God presiding over a planet. There

must be a head in every presidency. It is quite clear that Jesus

Christ will occupy that position when the time comes; he will be

the “Very Eternal Father of heaven and earth,” heaven being an

integral part of this earth. True, there will be other Gods assisting

Him. We are informed in Scripture there will be 144,000 who

will attain to Godhood.

“And I looked and lo, a lamb (Christ) stood on the mount

Sinai and with him a hundred and forty and four

thousand, having His Father's name written in their

foreheads.”

These men were the “first fruits unto God and to the

Lamb,” and they were men without guile, “for they are without

fault before the throne of God.” There are “Lords many and

Gods many” - these 144,000 are to be Gods operating throughout

the earth and under the jurisdiction of Jesus Christ, the “Very

eternal Father (God) of heaven and earth,” who, in turn, operates

under His Father, who obviously, is the “Very Eternal Father” of

other heavens and earths, of which planetary system this earth is

a part. And so on back through the eternities of Gods, each of

whom was once “as man now is,” but who, through faithfully

living all the laws pertaining to his eternity finally attained

Godhood, filling an office that has “no beginning of days nor end

of years;” and by reason of such office he is said to be “without

beginning of days or end of years.”

“I am the Father and the Son.”

64 Scriptural Terms Classified

In the sense in which these terms “Father,” “Son,”

“Savior,” and “Redeemer” are used, they, as stated, represent

titles or offices. Jesus Christ was one individual, not two. He

could not be more than one, but he could hold two offices and

have two or more titles. Joseph Smith was President of

Priesthood, President of the Church, and President of the High

Council at Kirtland, at one and the same time - the two latter

offices being subordinate to that of President of the Priesthood.

Jesus Christ was ordained not only to the office of the “Only

Begotten Son,” but also to the office of the “Savior,” the

“Redeemer,” the “Father,” etc. By reason of his faithfulness he

will be capable of filling all offices pertaining to the Godhead of

this earth, but in his presidency he will also be presided over by

other “Gods,” “Fathers,” “Only Begotten Sons,” “Saviors,”

“Redeemers,” etc.

It will be remembered that Elder Joseph Fielding Smith,

in criticizing the doctrine embraced in the 1852 address of

Brigham Young, wherein Adam was proclaimed to be the God of

this earth and the Father of Jesus Christ, set out two specific

charges:

“President Brigham Young spoke perhaps a thousand

times in which he declared that Jesus Christ is the Son of

God the Father who created Adam, and that Adam is the

son of God.

I will say frankly that I believe President

Brigham Young was not properly quoted in this

discourse. He did not see it before it was published in

England. I firmly believe this for the implication in this

discourse is foreign to all that President Young taught.

In so broad a statement from one claiming the Apostolic

calling and holding the office of “Church Historian,” one might

logically assume that throughout Brigham Young's discourses

there is to be found indisputable evidence of a contradiction of

the doctrines set forth in his 1852 address. Elder Smith says

“perhaps thousands” of such contradictions exist, and the reputed

sermon was “foreign to all that Brigham Young taught.”

Art Bulla on air called Shawn McCrady's contact no. and challenged him to debate. McCrady a self-confessed laughing "wild man", and former communist, dilitant extrodinaire, the spoiled product of a typical permissive matriarchal Mormon environment, as a teenager practiced great wickedness, went on a mission, but never repented but covered this evil heart of unbelief and predation against godliness, as a wolf in sheep's clothing, received strong delusion from the devil at the behest of a minister of the devil, who then was emboldened to threw off all pretense, coming out as an anti-Christ, the reprobate he always was, now proclaiming his vision from the devil that the law and the testimony is now superfluous, and all religious affliliation is now superfluous, even the name of Jesus Christ is superfluous, etc, no Apostles, order in the house of God, non-existent in order that he may assuage his gnawing guilt by doing away with all law and justice to raise his head brazenly in iniquity and becoming a traitor to the brethren, denying the Everlasting Covenant. I predict this son of perdition will not respond to my challenge but hide in the dark as all such do, because their deeds are evil. Errors corrected concerning who created what and the offices and calling of the Gods. It is the office that created the worlds, not the personage assigned to that office for this earth, saith the Lord. Reading from Joseph Musser's great work: "Michael Our Father and Our God": "The difference between the individual and the office held by the individual, when properly understood, provides a true key. “God” is a title, an office...the being who occupies this office of God is an exalted man. The office of “God” has always existed and always will exist. It, the office, is without “beginning of days or end of years.” Those now occupying the office of “God, are not without “beginning of days or end of years.” Their creation as organized entities had a beginning"

I Stand Alone

"Of course you follow out the figure, and say, 'the boldness of my plans and measures, together with their unparallelled success, so far, are calculated to throw a charm over my whole being; and to point me out as the most extraordinary man of the present age.' The boldness of my plans and meaures, can readily be tested by the touch-stone of all schemes, systems, projects, and adventures,-truth, for truth is a matter of fact; and the fact is, that by the power of God I translatated the Book of Mormon from hieroglyphics; the knowledge of which was lost to the world: in which wonderful event I stood alone, an unlearned youth, to combat the worldly wisdom, and multiplied ignorance of eighteen centuries, with a new revelation; which, (if they would receive the everlasting gospel,) would open the eyes of more than eight hundred millions of people, and make 'plain the old paths,' wherein if a man walk in all the ordinances of God blameless, he shall inherit eternal life; and Jesus Christ, who was, and is, and is to come, has borne me safely over every snare and plan, laid in secret or openly; through priestly hypocrisy, sectarian prejudice, popular philosophy, executive power, or law defying mobocracy, to destroy me." O Lord God Almighty, when the prison doors of Tophet, hell, and the horrible pit are unlocked; and the entrance into outer darkness opened, to bring the damned before the bar of the Judge of all the earth for the final judgment, I think some few christians in company with their father Cain and cousins of "popular" priesthood, from that day down to the judgment trumpet, will "grin horribly a ghastly smile" YES, we killed the prophets and persecuted the saints, because they were not "popular."  Then your question will be answered.
As to the "crime, time and place, &c., of finding the Nephite record," its  revelation  is the very thing that produces an earthquake to this generation.  It explains the bible:  it opens the vision of the prophets; it unravels the mystery who first settled this country, and it shows the old paths wherein if a man walk he shall live.  It copes with the boasted knowledge of the world; it glitters through the combined fog of ages; shows that God who eat of a calf with Abraham, will eat and drink again on the earth with his saints, when the wolf and the lamb, and the lion and the ox, will be as friendly as the saints and seraphs, in the full fruition of bliss; it cuts the gordian knot of priestcraft, and reveals the priesthood of the Son of God, which is "without beginning of days or end of years" whereby it shows that prophets were ordained in eternity, when the "morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy:"  and it speaks from the dead, whereby the living can hear from their friends, who have fought the good fight of faith, and passed from life unto death, and from death unto life! and Stevens with his incidents of travels in Central America; and others who are opening the bowels of the earth, and rolling "ruins" into being; and ten thousand elders of Israel filled with the Holy Ghost, declaring the everlasting gospel with irresistible power and economy, that surpasses understanding; the great persecutions and murders which are dealt out without measure to its believers; and the distress of nations and the   signs that Jesus Christ said should be, like the sound of many waters, or of a great thunder, declare that it is eternal truth! and that your brother Joseph Smith was one of the Lord's anointed!  That he now sits with God in the heavens, and laughs at the calamities that will speedily wrap the world in wo! and that he will mock when their fear seizes the last hope of a crude existence!  (The Answer., Times and Seasons, vol. 5 (January 1844-January 1, 1845), No. 24. The What Who Why and How of Administrative Authority

4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as [was] Aaron. Hebrews 5:4.

 

Eusbius (circa 300 AD): 

 Chapter XII. The Disciples of Our Saviour.

1 The names of the apostles of our Saviour are known to every one from the Gospels.188--> But there exists no catalogue of the seventy disciples.189--> Barnabas, indeed, is said to have been one of them, of whom the Acts of the apostles makes mention in various places,190--> and especially Paul in his Epistle to the Galatians.191-->

2 They say that Sosthenes also, who wrote to

   the Corinthians with Paul, was one of them.192--> This is the account of Clement193--> in the fifthbook of his Hypotyposes, in which he also says that Cephas was one of the seventy disciples,194--> a man who bore the same name as the apostle Peter, and the one concerning whom Paul says, "When Cephas came to Antioch I withstood him to his face."195-->

3 Matthias,196--> also, who was numbered with the apostles in the place of Judas, and the one who was honored by being made a candidate with him,197--> are like-wise said to have been deemed worthy of the same calling with the seventy. They say that Thaddeus198--> also was one of them, concerning whom I shall presently relate an account which has come down to us.199--> And upon examination you will find that our Saviour had more than seventy disciples, according to the testimony of Paul, who says that after his resurrection from the dead he appeared first to Cephas, then to the twelve, and after them to above five hundred brethren at once (seven Quorums of Seventy and 11 of the Twelve), of whom some had fallen asleep;200--> but the majority were still living 4 at the time he wrote.

So the ancient order was to call upon the Seventy to fill vacancies in the Quorum of the Twelve, and it follows that vacancies in the First Presidency should be filled from the Twelve, and no High Priest should be in these Quorums, saith the Lord.  The Church took to ordaining Apostles High Priests after they had been ordained Apostles!  Jesus was never ordained a High Priest but was an Apostle, Joseph was never ordained a High Priest, but was an Apostle, and Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball were Apostles only.  So this is the correct order of succuession, saith the Lord, and no Elder such as Onias can subvert the Holy Order of God, despite what false testators such as Alex say.  Shame on you Alex. I want to include in this email an account from Eusebius of on the Seventy, Thaddeus who is not mentioned in the Bible. 

Acts 2:37-38 37 ...Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized (by authority) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The above passage contradicts the doctrine of modern Christianity typified by Billy Graham, Jimmy Swaggert, Pat Robertson, et al.

"What ordination should a man receive to possess all the keys and powers of the Holy Priesthood that were delivered to the sons of Adam? He should be ordained an Apostle of Jesus Christ. That office puts him in possession of every key, every power, every authority, communication, benefit, blessing, glory, and kingdom that was ever revealed to man. That pertains to the office of an Apostle of Jesus Christ." Brigham Young

5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6 As he saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Heb 5:4-6)

4 Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receiveth them], of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. (Heb 7:4-8) 4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. (Ps 110:4-5)

What ordination should a man receive to possess all the keys and powers of the Holy Priesthood that were delivered to the sons of Adam? He should be ordained an Apostle of Jesus Christ. That office puts him in possession of every key, every power, every authority, communication, benefit, blessing, glory, and kingdom that was ever revealed to man. That pertains to the office of an Apostle of Jesus Christ. In the last week's News I published a portion of a revelation, showing the authority of the First Presidency of the Church, composed at first of Joseph Smith, Sidney Rigdon, and Frederick G. Williams. When this revelation was given, the two last-named brethren were Joseph Smith's counsellors, and this First Presidency possessed the power and authority of building up the kingdom of God upon all the earth, and of setting the Church in order in its perfection. You read in the revelation alluded to that when the Twelve were called and ordained, they possessed the same power and authority as the three First Presidents; and in reading further you find that there must needs be appendages and helps growing out of this Priesthood. The Seventies possess the same power and authority; they hold the keys of establishing, building up, regulating, ordaining, and setting in order the kingdom of God in all its perfections upon the earth. We have a Quorum of High Priests, and there are a great many of them. They are a local body-they tarry at home; but the Seventies travel and preach; so also do the High Priests, when they are called upon. They possess precisely the same Priesthood that the Seventies and the Twelve and the First Presidency possess; but are they ordained to officiate in all the authority, powers, and keys of this Priesthood? No, they are not. Still they are High Priests of God; and if they magnify their Priesthood, they will receive at some time all the authority and power that it is possible for man to receive.     Brigham Young.

 

Alma  13:1-20
 1 AND again, my brethren, I would cite your minds forward to the time when the Lord God gave these commandments unto his children; and I would that ye should remember that the Lord God ordained priests, after his holy order, which was after the order of his Son, to teach these things unto the people.
 2 And those priests were ordained after the order of his Son, in a manner that thereby the people might know in what manner to look forward to his Son for redemption.
 3 And this is the manner after which they were ordained--being called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, on account of their exceeding faith and good works; in the first place being left to choose good or evil; therefore they having chosen good, and exercising exceedingly great faith, are called with a holy calling, yea, with that holy calling which was prepared with, and according to, a preparatory redemption for such.
 4 And thus they have been called to this holy calling on account of their faith, while others would reject the Spirit of God on account of the hardness of their hearts and blindness of their minds, while, if it had not been for this they might have had as great privilege as their brethren.
 5 Or in fine, in the first place they were on the same standing with their brethren; thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son, who was prepared--
 6 And thus being called by this holy calling, and ordained unto the high priesthood of the holy order of God, to teach his commandments unto the children of men, that they also might enter into his rest--
 7 This high priesthood being after the order of his Son, which order was from the foundation of the world; or in other words, being without beginning of days or end of years, being prepared from eternity to all eternity, according to his foreknowledge of all things--
 8 Now they were ordained after this manner--being called with a holy calling, and ordained with a holy ordinance, and taking upon them the high priesthood of the holy order, which calling, and ordinance, and high priesthood, is without beginning or end--
 9 Thus they become high priests forever, after the order of the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, who is without beginning of days or end of years, who is full of grace, equity, and truth. And thus it is. Amen.
 10 Now, as I said concerning the holy order, or this high priesthood, there were many who were ordained and became high priests of God; and it was on account of their exceeding faith and repentance, and their righteousness before God, they choosing to repent and work righteousness rather than to perish;
 11 Therefore they were called after this holy order, and were sanctified, and their garments were washed white through the blood of the Lamb.
 12 Now they, after being sanctified by the Holy Ghost, having their garments made white, being pure and spotless before God, could not look upon sin save it were with abhorrence; and there were many, exceedingly great many, who were made pure and entered into the rest of the Lord their God.
 13 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should humble yourselves before God, and bring forth fruit meet for repentance, that ye may also enter into that rest.
 14 Yea, humble yourselves even as the people in the days of Melchizedek, who was also a high priest after this same order which I have spoken, who also took upon him the high priesthood forever.
 15 And it was this same Melchizedek to whom Abraham paid tithes; yea, even our father Abraham paid tithes of one-tenth part of all he possessed.
 16 Now these ordinances were given after this manner, that thereby the people might look forward on the Son of God, it being a type of his order, or it being his order, and this that they might look forward to him for a remission of their sins, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord.
 17 Now this Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem; and his people had waxed strong in iniquity and abomination; yea, they had all gone astray; they were full of all manner of wickedness;
 18 But Melchizedek having exercised mighty faith, and received the office of the high priesthood according to the holy order of God, did preach repentance unto his people. And behold, they did repent; and Melchizedek did establish peace in the land in his days; therefore he was called the prince of peace, for he was the king of Salem; and he did reign under his father.
 19 Now, there were many before him, and also there were many afterwards, but none were greater; therefore, of him they have more particularly made mention.
 20 Now I need not rehearse the matter; what I have said may suffice. Behold, the scriptures are before you; if ye will wrest them it shall be to your own destruction.

 

D&C  84:6-44
 6 And the sons of Moses, according to the Holy Priesthood which he received under the hand of his father-in-law, Jethro;
 7 And Jethro received it under the hand of Caleb;
 8 And Caleb received it under the hand of Elihu;
 9 And Elihu under the hand of Jeremy;
 10 And Jeremy under the hand of Gad;
 11 And Gad under the hand of Esaias;
 12 And Esaias received it under the hand of God.
 13 Esaias also lived in the days of Abraham, and was blessed of him--
 14 Which Abraham received the priesthood from Melchizedek, who received it through the lineage of his fathers, even till Noah;
 15 And from Noah till Enoch, through the lineage of their fathers;
 16 And from Enoch to Abel, who was slain by the conspiracy of his brother, who received the priesthood by the commandments of God, by the hand of his father Adam, who was the first man--
 17 Which priesthood continueth in the church of God in all generations, and is without beginning of days or end of years.
 18 And the Lord confirmed a priesthood also upon Aaron and his seed, throughout all their generations, which priesthood also continueth and abideth forever with the priesthood which is after the holiest order of God.
 19 And this greater priesthood administereth the gospel and holdeth the key of the mysteries of the kingdom, even the key of the knowledge of God.
 20 Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest.
 21 And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh;
 22 For without this no man can see the face of God, even the Father, and live.
 23 Now this Moses plainly taught to the children of Israel in the wilderness, and sought diligently to sanctify his people that they might behold the face of God;
 24 But they hardened their hearts and could not endure his presence; therefore, the Lord in his wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory.
 25 Therefore, he took Moses out of their midst, and the Holy Priesthood also;
 26 And the lesser priesthood continued, which priesthood holdeth the key of the ministering of angels and the preparatory gospel;
 27 Which gospel is the gospel of repentance and of baptism, and the remission of sins, and the law of carnal commandments, which the Lord in his wrath caused to continue with the house of Aaron among the children of Israel until John, whom God raised up, being filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother's womb.
 28 For he was baptized while he was yet in his childhood, and was ordained by the angel of God at the time he was eight days old unto this power, to overthrow the kingdom of the Jews, and to make straight the way of the Lord before the face of his people, to prepare them for the coming of the Lord, in whose hand is given all power.
 29 And again, the offices of elder and bishop are necessary appendages belonging unto the high priesthood.
 30 And again, the offices of teacher and deacon are necessary appendages belonging to the lesser priesthood, which priesthood was confirmed upon Aaron and his sons.
 31 Therefore, as I said concerning the sons of Moses--for the sons of Moses and also the sons of Aaron shall offer an acceptable offering and sacrifice in the house of the Lord, which house shall be built unto the Lord in this generation, upon the consecrated spot as I have appointed--
 32 And the sons of Moses and of Aaron shall be filled with the glory of the Lord, upon Mount Zion in the Lord's house, whose sons are ye; and also many whom I have called and sent forth to build up my church.
 33 For whoso is faithful unto the obtaining these two priesthoods of which I have spoken, and the magnifying their calling, are sanctified by the Spirit unto the renewing of their bodies.
 34 They become the sons of Moses and of Aaron and the seed of Abraham, and the church and kingdom, and the elect of God.
 35 And also all they who receive this priesthood receive me, saith the Lord;
 36 For he that receiveth my servants receiveth me;
 37 And he that receiveth me receiveth my Father;
 38 And he that receiveth my Father receiveth my Father's kingdom; therefore all that my Father hath shall be given unto him.
 39 And this is according to the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood.
 40 Therefore, all those who receive the priesthood, receive this oath and covenant of my Father, which he cannot break, neither can it be moved.
 41 But whoso breaketh this covenant after he hath received it, and altogether turneth therefrom, shall not have forgiveness of sins in this world nor in the world to come.
 42 And wo unto all those who come not unto this priesthood which ye have received, which I now confirm upon you who are present this day, by mine own voice out of the heavens; and even I have given the heavenly hosts and mine angels charge concerning you.
 43 And I now give unto you a commandment to beware concerning yourselves, to give diligent heed to the words of eternal life.
 44 For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.

Come Out of Her (Babylon) My People!

History, the hand of the Lord in the nations in raising them up and destroying them. Socio-political-economic system in which scattered Israel is presently immersed decried and condemned of the Lord.

Scripture fulfilled:

1 AWAKE, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:1 - 7

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously...

 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Revelation 18: 4-8

Decree of God concerning this land: two former civilizations destroyed in America:

 29 And after these plain and precious things were taken away it (Bible) goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles; and after it goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles, yea, even across the many waters which thou hast seen with the Gentiles which have gone forth out of captivity, thou seest--because of the many plain and precious things which have been taken out of the book, which were plain unto the understanding of the children of men, according to the plainness which is in the Lamb of God--because of these things which are taken away out of the gospel of the Lamb, an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.

   (1 Ne  13:29-42)

 30 Nevertheless, thou beholdest that the Gentiles who have gone forth out of captivity, and have been lifted up by the power of God above all other nations, upon the face of the land which is choice above all other lands, which is the land that the Lord God hath covenanted with thy father that his seed should have for the land of their inheritance; wherefore, thou seest that the Lord God will not suffer that the Gentiles will utterly destroy the mixture of thy seed, which are among thy brethren.
 31 Neither will he suffer that the Gentiles shall destroy the seed of thy brethren.
 32 Neither will the Lord God suffer that the Gentiles shall forever remain in that awful state of blindness, which thou beholdest they are in, because of the plain and most precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been kept back by that abominable church, whose formation thou hast seen.
 33 Wherefore saith the Lamb of God: I will be merciful unto the Gentiles, unto the visiting of the remnant of the house of Israel in great judgment.
 34 And it came to pass that the angel of the Lord spake unto me, saying: Behold, saith the Lamb of God, after I have visited the remnant of the house of Israel--and this remnant of whom I speak is the seed of thy father--wherefore, after I have visited them in judgment, and smitten them by the hand of the Gentiles, and after the Gentiles do stumble exceedingly, because of the most plain and precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been kept back by that abominable church, which is the mother of harlots, saith the Lamb--I will be merciful unto the Gentiles in that day, insomuch that I will bring forth unto them, in mine own power, much of my gospel, which shall be plain and precious, saith the Lamb.
 35 For, behold, saith the Lamb: I will manifest myself unto thy seed, that they shall write many things which I shall minister unto them, which shall be plain and precious; and after thy seed shall be destroyed, and dwindle in unbelief, and also the seed of thy brethren, behold, these things shall be hid up, to come forth unto the Gentiles, by the gift and power of the Lamb.
 36 And in them shall be written my gospel, saith the Lamb, and my rock and my salvation.
 37 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.
 38 And it came to pass that I beheld the remnant of the seed of my brethren, and also the book of the Lamb of God, which had proceeded forth from the mouth of the Jew, that it came forth from the Gentiles unto the remnant of the seed of my brethren.
 39 And after it had come forth unto them I beheld other books, which came forth by the power of the Lamb, from the Gentiles unto them, unto the convincing of the Gentiles and the remnant of the seed of my brethren, and also the Jews who were scattered upon all the face of the earth, that the records of the prophets and of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are true.
 40 And the angel spake unto me, saying: These last records, which thou hast seen among the Gentiles, shall establish the truth of the first, which are of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from them; and shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world; and that all men must come unto him, or they cannot be saved.
 41 And they must come according to the words which shall be established by the mouth of the Lamb; and the words of the Lamb shall be made known in the records of thy seed, as well as in the records of the twelve apostles of the Lamb; wherefore they both shall be established in one; for there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth.
 42 And the time cometh that he shall manifest himself unto all nations, both unto the Jews and also unto the Gentiles; and after he has manifested himself unto the Jews and also unto the Gentiles, then he shall manifest himself unto the Gentiles and also unto the Jews, and the last shall be first, and the first shall be last.

   (1 Ne  13:29-42)

 8 And he had sworn in his wrath unto the brother of Jared, that whoso should possess this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should serve him, the true and only God, or they should be swept off when the fulness of his wrath should come upon them.
 9 And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of his wrath shall come upon them. And the fulness of his wrath cometh upon them when they are ripened in iniquity.
 10 For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off.
 11 And this cometh unto you, O ye Gentiles, that ye may know the decrees of God--that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done.
 12 Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.

   (Ether  2:8-12)

 1 AND now I, Moroni, proceed to finish my record concerning the destruction of the people of whom I have been writing.
 2 For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether; for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and that after the waters had receded from off the face of this land it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the Lord; wherefore the Lord would have that all men should serve him who dwell upon the face thereof;
 3 And that it was the place of the New Jerusalem, which should come down out of heaven, and the holy sanctuary of the Lord.
 4 Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land.
 5 And he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come--after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord; and it should be built unto the house of Israel.
 6 And that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for which things there has been a type.
 7 For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of Egypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the Lord brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should perish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not.
 8 Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away.
 9 And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new.
 10 And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein, for it is they whose garments are white through the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph, who were of the house of Israel.
 11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which God made with their father, Abraham.
 12 And when these things come, bringeth to pass the scripture which saith, there are they who were first, who shall be last; and there are they who were last, who shall be first.
 13 And I was about to write more, but I am forbidden; but great and marvelous were the prophecies of Ether; but they esteemed him as naught, and cast him out; and he hid himself in the cavity of a rock by day, and by night he went forth viewing the things which should come upon the people.
 14 And as he dwelt in the cavity of a rock he made the remainder of this record, viewing the destructions which came upon the people, by night.
