22 I soon found, however, that my telling the story had excited a great deal of prejudice against me among professors of religion, and was the cause of great persecution, which continued to increase; and though I was an obscure boy, only between fourteen and fifteen years of age, and my circumstances in life such as to make a boy of no consequence in the world, yet men of high standing would take notice sufficient to excite the public mind against me, and create a bitter persecution; and this was common among all the sects--all united to persecute me. The following is my very first post on arm, which was rejected by the then moderated soc.mormon, after which Elder Jong Kim then read and contacted me and was baptized here in the waters of the Gulf of California here in the Baja so. of San Felipe, after traveling across county on a Greyhound from Tennessee.

First Post:

With hat in hand, and with due deference to the intelligence of men, I, Art Bulla, would like to announce The Revelations of Jesus Christ, a volume of revelations from the God of Israel, to be had in full @ http://www.artbulla.com , but more specifically in answer to the question, "What Israel's God thinks of the Mormons", please see Section 2 which can be downloaded for free at http://www.artbulla.com/zion/sec2.exe, virus free, and again, no charge. I invite comments and objections and debate, which is expected, concerning my right, and the whys and wherefores, authority, etc to receive and deliver such to the children of men. I bring this to you in the spirit of humility and some trepidation, for when I received my first two written revelations a number of years ago, my hometeacher Randy O. attacked me in his apartment at Married Student Housing at the University of Utah, and broke my nose, and would have killed me outright had his wife not run into the room screaming, "Randy, Randy, What are you doing?" This spirit of fear is what Brigham Young stated was the cause of all persecution and is the very spirit that has caused the martydom of all the Lords servants in all ages of the world, and though blood was streaming down onto my white shirt and tie, having returned from a meeting earlier that day, I rejoiced and shouted for joy that I was accounted worthy to partake with the Lord of Glory that which he also suffered at the hands of the superstitious and over-righteous of mankind. Please have charity for me, for I come in the spirit of fellowship and a desire to do right. Take me on, but do so with intelligence and learning and I will respond likewise, for charity covereth a multitude of sins, does it not? I am not lying when I say also that at a High Council Court, held at night, that I was almost physically attacked again by two members of said court, and so I judge righteous judgment when I say that by their fruits ye shall know them. I end with a quote from George Q. Cannon, 1st Counselor to Brigham Young, who stated, "The people who have the truth are not afraid of any false doctrine or revelation. Secure in the knowledge that God is with them they can afford to let false doctrine have the freedom of action that God has given to every creature under heaven as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of his fellow man. The people who have the truth do not condescend to persecution, for if they condescend to persecution they cease to be the people of God." The Book of Mormon states twice and the Doctrine and Covenants once, that "Ye shall cast no one out of your meeting which are held before the world if he is earnestly seeking the Kingdom." I profess that I will repent if I can be shown my error, otherwise, here I stand, I cannot recant.

This post however was greeted in a far different manner by the vipers and cowards, Kevin Zoellner, but first Woody Brison with the greatest vituperation and slander imagineable. At that time they knew absolutely nothing about me for this post occurred in 2000, before I had any presence on the web. Therefore what motivates such slander? It is not information based, or based upon any knowledge whatsoever (except that I claimed the gift of revelation), but the spirit of the devil which rages in them to crucify the Lord afresh and put him to an open shame. This was predicted in the BOM at the advent of the One Mighty and Strong by the following passage in connection with the great and abominable Church:

18 But behold, that great and abominable church, the whore of all the earth, must tumble to the earth, and great must be the fall thereof.
19 For the kingdom of the devil must shake, and they which belong to it must needs be stirred up unto repentance, or the devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish;
20 For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good.
21 And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well--and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.
22 And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none--and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance.
23 Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.
24 Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!
25 Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well!
26 Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost!
27 Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more!
28 And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall.
29 Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough!
30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.
31 Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost.
32 Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts. (2 Ne 28:18-32)

Now one has to wonder, what is the operation on these vituperants which produces in them this bitter fruit? It is fear, saith the Lord. The cause of all persecution is fear. And what are they afraid of? "They tremble and are angry lest they shall fall" are the words of the BOM, the greatest anti-(cultural) Mormon book ever written. For the Lord saw your day and I, saith the Lord, revealed it to my servant Moroni in the day he read the sealed portion written by the hand of the Brother of Jared:

35 Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing.
36 And I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts; and there are none save a few only who do not lift themselves up in the pride of their hearts, unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and malice, and persecutions, and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one, have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts.
37 For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted.
38 O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies--because of the praise of the world?
39 Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life, and yet suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not?
40 Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain, and cause that widows should mourn before the Lord, and also orphans to mourn before the Lord, and also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground, for vengeance upon your heads?
41 Behold, the sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the saints upon you, for he will not suffer their cries any longer. (Morm 8:35-41)

For thus saith the Lord my people aforetime went down into Egypt and sojourned there. Now what have I here, saith the Lord, that my people is taken away for naught? They that rule over them maketh my people to howl every day and my name is continually blasphemed. Therefore in that day they shall know my name, they shall know that it is I that doth speak, behold it is I. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean [thing]; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward. Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. And as many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

15 Behold, I say unto you, the redemption of Zion must needs come by power;
16 Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel.
17 For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power, and with a stretched-out arm.
18 And as your fathers were led at the first, even so shall the redemption of Zion be. (D&C 103:15-18)

Therefore these are just fulfilling prophecy. Jong humbled himself at that time and these gave way to fear and the devil took power over them to bring their souls down to destruction.

So judge my very first post. Now dear reader, read and judge for yourself whether it is I or them who are the "nutcases"?

The Gospel of salvation is perfectly calculated to cause division. It strikes at the root of the very existence of mankind in their wickedness, evil designs, passions, and wicked calculations. There is no evil among the human family, but at the foundation of which it strikes effectually, and comes in contact with every evil passion that rises in the heart of man. It is opposed to every evil practice of men, and consequently it disturbs them in the wicked courses they are pursuing.
When the Gospel which was preached by Jesus and His Apostles was preached to the children of Israel by Moses, it created the same effect among them. When he taught them to forsake their sins, to forsake every evil principle and practice of their lives, and turn to the Lord with all their hearts, it created such a division that Moses could not establish the Gospel among them, after all the kindness the Lord had shown towards them, though He brought them out of Egypt with a high hand, dividing the sea, causing the water to gush out of the rock to quench their thirst, manna to fall from heaven to satisfy their hunger, and quails to satisfy their desire for flesh. He also ordained that their clothing should not wax old, nor their shoes wear out for the space of forty years. They did not have to plough, to reap, or gather into barns, as we do. Notwithstanding this manifestation of the goodness of their God, he could not establish the Gospel among them, and was obliged to give them a law of carnal commandments. Why did not the Lord destroy them, seeing they were so very wicked? He did; and out of all who left Egypt, only two went into the land of Canaan-Joshua and Caleb. (Journal of Discourses, 26 vols., 1:, p.235-236)

The world entertain certain ideas concerning truth, they entertain certain ideas concerning God and concerning His servants, and when men come to them with something that conflicts with these ideas, they are led to reject them, and it is not until a man has died, not until in many instances his blood has been shed, that he is recognized as a Prophet of God. In fact it was an accusation of the Savior against the Jews that they garnished the tombs and sepulchres of the Prophets whom they had slain. They slew them, but after their death their children said, "If we had lived in their days we would not have slain the Prophets, we would have received their testimony," while they treated the Prophets in their midst the same as their fathers had done their predecessors. But it takes time to bring men to esteem Prophets. It has taken centuries to sanctify the memory of the Son of God; centuries have rolled on before He was recognized by the world as the being whom his disciples testified he was. To his generation he was a vile impostor, and was counted worthy of the most ignominious death that could be inflicted-to be crucified between two thieves. Why, they had the most irrefutable evidence, as they supposed, that He was not the Son of God. "Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?" "Why," said they, "art thou also of Galilee? Search and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no Prophet." He was a Galilean, and therefore, because of his lowly birth and surroundings, they deemed themselves perfectly justified in rejecting Him. And as has been quoted to-day, so confident were they that He was not the being whom He represented himself to be that they said, "His blood be on us and upon our children." They felt so secure in calling for his crucifixion, they were willing to incur al the penalties which might be inflicted upon themselves and their posterity for the death of a man who, in their estimation, was so vile an impostor.

This is not a new thing in the earth, the antagonism between error and truth, between wrong and right, between the followers of him who seeks to usurp dominion upon the earth, and the followers of the Son of God. That antagonism has been a perpetual one, an undying one. It cost the blood of the best Being that ever trod the earth, even the Son of God Himself, and all His Apostles and all the prophets-they all, with few exceptions laid down their lives for the truth. And yet we talk about our civilization, the enlightened nineteenth century, and we say as did the generation in which the Savior lived: "If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have slain the Prophets, we would not have been guilty of shedding their blood." This was the cry of the generation in which the Savior lived, yet that same generation crucified Him in the most ignominious manner.

Refuting the Dominant False Religion of Our Day--Evolutionism

Section 14. (Showing Mathematical Probability of Evolution in Universe,) vs. 29-66

The Revelations of Jesus Christ

29 If the “theory” of evolution is a true explana­tion of reality, or fact, then it must conform with physics, and mathematics and other observable and provable phenomena.

30 If it contradicts any of these, then it must be that the theory is false, not the mathematical laws or the laws of physics.

31 But the blind prejudice of the scientific com­munity, which is nothing more than a hegemony of paid erudite liars, conveniently discard logic in order to stub­bornly cling to their brand of false religion, that their pay­checks may keep rolling in, for did the adversary not say that he would buy up armies and navies, Popes, Kings and scientists and rule with blood and horror upon this earth?

32 I have pointed these contra­dictions out to the Leakeys of South Africa and the still insist upon their theory of evolution in spite of reason and truth, which I will demonstrate within this let­ter to the satisfaction of a child.

33 I prayed unto my God who hath revealed him­self personally to mea concerning this theory and through Revelation, which medium is a superior source of wisdom than any mere empiri­cism, I re­ceived two blaring con­tradictions to the above named fundamental sciences.

34 Darwin was not acquainted with mathematics or physics, the fundamentals upon which all sci­entific disciplines rest, to any serious degree: he was a natural­ist who drew erroneous conclu­sions from a loose collection of facts.

35 I will show you how the world has been de­ceived:

36 The fundamental premise of evolution is that organisms sprang into being from a random chance collision of molecules in a “primordial sea” or “soup” and that these admittedly simple or­ganisms “evolved”—a term coined by some fat victorian natura­list—into more complex organ­isms by an equally random, chance process.

37 First of all this process in its description breaks one of the fundamental laws of physics, the second law of thermodyna­mics, which states that everything in nature naturally proceeds from a high energy level which is usu­ally less stable, to a low energy state (in other words, water runs downhill, not up).

38 A specific case of this law states that through a process called entropy, systems prefer to be in a disorganized state, rather than one that has a high degree of organization, such as a human body, in other words, things in nature proceed from a state of order through entropy to a state of disorder (I speak of random collisions of molecules).

39 A system which is organized has in­herently more energy, not less than one than one which is dis­organized.

40 Hence the need for an energy input of some source to effect this organization.

41 Random chance cannot ex­plain the existence of such a monumentally complex organi­zation as that of the human body!

42 It takes a great deal of faith of the blind kind to believe in such an absurd proposition.

43 It takes more than I am ca­pable of mustering.

44 A specific example of this ab­surdity, accord­ing to the laws of mathematics which we stated that the theory of evolution must conform to, or else be labeled as false, which it is, is this: sup­pose we take the random arisal of not an organ­ism, but just one protein molecule (of which there must be a specific combination of billions upon billions of these different proteins in a specific way to form a single organism, a puzzle which in its complexity staggers the capacity of all the computers in all the world to put together).

45 Now according to a good sourceb, the average length of this one protein molecule is about 100 amino acids in length (there being in the body some proteins much longer than this in length).

46 According to the laws of mathematical prob­ability, what are the chances of this one spe­cific protein which is necessary in the formation of an enzyme which is absolutely necessary for, say, the digestion of starch [just for the sake of argument]?

47 According to mathematical probability which you can read in any elementary textbook on Col­lege Algebra, (Darwin obviously did not have ac­cess to one), the chances of this one protein needed for the digestion of starch randomly aris­ing in this primor­dial soup is one in 20^100!

48 This is one in 20 to the 100th power!

49 This is approximately equal to 10^130.

50 To give you an idea of the immensity of this number, sup­pose we say that we give evolu­tionists 10 billion (10^10) years to make good their claims not for just this earth but for the entire universe which is estimated by to contain 10^22 stars.c Now for each of these stars, let’s be gen­erous and give not only one earth, but ten “earths” upon which this one random chance protein molecule is to arise.

51 Therefor, according to the law of the addition of exponents, the total number of earths would be 10^(22+1)= 10^23.

52 Now let us give each “earth” oceans the same size as the ones here which are calculated by vol­ume to contain roughly 10^46 molecules of water.d So the total number of molecules contained in all the oceans on all the “earths” in the universe (estimated) is 10^23 X 10^46, or 10^69 (10 to the 69th power) molecules.

54 This means that there are a total according to our mathe­matical calculations which do not lie, of 10^69 amino acids from which this one protein needed for the digestion of starch to “evolve”.

55 Now to really give these poor evolutionists a sporting chance (I say ‘poor’ because they are less than that along with everyone else who is duped into believ­ing their lies, for their eternities are ef­fected), lets say that all of these amino acids, combine, not once a year or every ten years (both of which are absolutely impossible) but every sec­ond of every year in the 10^10 years which is esti­mated by our brave brethren, the scien­tists, to be the age of the uni­verse, to form proteins all of them exactly 100 amino acids in length.

56 Now this would mean that every second, 10^67 proteins ex­actly 100 amino acids long would be formed.

57 Now how many seconds are there in 10 bil­lions of years There are 10^8 seconds approxi­mately, in a year (actually there are a little less than that num­ber).

58 This would mean that over all the space and time imagin­able, there would be 10^10 X 10^8 X 10^67 = 1085 chances for this one protein to come into being!

59 But we said that the total number of combina­tions of amino acids 100 in length which are pos­sible is 20^100 which is approximately equal to 10^130.

60 This would mean that the chances of this one protein (not an entire being) necessary for the di­gestion of starch to randomly form, as the evolu­tionists claim, is one in 10^130/10^85 which is equal to 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 which is for all intents and purposes, zero.

Dear Sirs,

I providentially it seems, stumbled across your website while chatting with an associate, Aaron Kim, on objections raised by Van Hale in his radio program on the doctrine of the One Mighty and Strong being localized to the specific time of the letter from Joseph to WW Phelps. I believe that your group is the one presided over by Warren Jeffs? I am Art Bulla, and you even have me listed as a claimant to the title of OMS on your website! I want to say here that I have never sought for this, or campaigned, as it were, for this, but my Father, Brinford R. Bulla prayed that a servant of the Lord be born to him. The circumstances of my birth were miraculous, and I can go into this at another time. I was caught up to see and hear unspeakable things in the presence of glory unspeakable and spoke in an unknown language with them for about an hour in 1969, the first time I left home right after I had been married. The account of this first vision is on my website artbulla.com. I was not even a Mormon. Truly, "The gifts and callings of God are without repentance." As Oliver Cowdrey stated on one occasion:

"Friends and Brethren.-My name is Cowdery, Oliver Cowdery. In the early history of this Church I stood identified with her, and one in her councils. True it is that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance; not because I was better then the rest of mankind was I called; but to fulfil the purposes of God, He called me to a high and holy calling." Continuing with my own story, about six month later I was given a copy of the BOM and the same power which caught me up fell on me again. Since I have been ordained to the Apostleship legally and my hometeacher tried to assassinate me after receiving my first two written revelations the day John Singer was killed. I then got down on my knees after my blood was shed to inquire what authority I had, and I was picked up by the spirit and carried to my bookshelf upon which was located The Discourses of Brigham Young, by Johen Widtsoe. The book was opened right to the paragraph I needed to read. I know there are many, many fools and crackpots, and they abound, but I am not one of them. Years ago I had proposed a Council of the Friends of God to be formed to decide on items of doctrine, and invited Owen, Ogden, Henry Richards, Duane Crowther, and Alex Joseph to attend. Suprisingly to me, that all agreed. Own said, "I will come just to hear you preach, Art." And Ogden said, "If you can get all those other to attend, I will be there." But then the Lafferteys raised their heads and they did their work, and a pall fell and the curtain closed on any such enterprise as that which I proposed and the devil rejoiced in his victory by using these, as he does occasionally by raising up some fool for his errand, to run amock and cause ill to be spoken of the way. So my work has been frustrated many many times. But I understand that your group is in a hard way at present with Warren being imprisoned. (I once met in Colorodo City, the "Old Man Johnson" as I think he was called, but have never met Warren.). I would hereby like to propose a correspondence and an eventual meeting for the Redemption of Zion at which I can address your group on points of correct doctrine. I have, I believe, sound doctrinal reasons on why not any fundamentalist now has authority to seal plural marriage except myself (I must be plain), there being "only one at any one time", as you know including of course Warren. The following revelation is given to you from the Lord at his command at this time in answer to many prayers on this subject and on why the OMS cannot be a resurrected being. There is one evidence still further on this point, and that is that Jesus himself when he appeared to Paul on his way to damascus, did not inform him how he could be saved. He had set in the church first Apostles, and secondly prophets, for the work of the ministry, perfecting of the saints, etc.; and as the grand rule of heaven was that nothing should ever be done on earth without revealing the secret to his servants the prophets, agreeably to Amos 3:7, so Paul could not learn so much from the Lord relative to his duty in the common salvation of man, as he could from one of Christ's ambassadors called with the same heavenly calling of the lord, and endowed with the same power from on high -- so that what they loosed on earth, should be loosed in heaven; and what they bound on earth should be bound in heaven..."

Yes, Aaron, these devils on the left who smear everything, are themselves driven in their views by sexual depravity, saith the Lord, and are as the Sodomites whom I destroyed in my wrath. For did I not say, if the light of thine eye, even thy judgment be darkness, how great is that darkness? And when it is, saith the Lord, that the majority tolerate these, or allow them, then it is that they, the majority are also fully ripened in iniquity as Sodom and as before the flood, and they shall be destroyed as them in my wrath, when it is that my little ones are unleashed against them, who without loss of stride can defeat all of their armies. For at their command the earth moves and opens up beneath them, that these armies are swallowed by the earth upon which they stand. And these, my little ones, fear nothing, but are as darting sparks among the stubble and no jet aircraft can match them in their agility in the air. Answer:

The antecedent of "His" in this sentence, is the Father of Jesus. But now that you mention it, Jesus had children, and the direct descendants of Jesus in the flesh is the Prophet today.

"Now there was actually a marriage; and if Jesus was not the bridegroom on that occasion, please tell who was. If any man can show this, and prove that it was not the Savior of the world, then I will acknowledge I am in error. We say it was Jesus Christ who was married, to be brought into the relation whereby he could see his seed, before he was crucified. "Has he indeed passed by the nature of angels, and taken upon himself the seed of Abraham, to die without leaving a seed to bear his name on the earth?" No. But when the secret is fully out, the seed of the blessed shall be gathered in, in the last days; and he who has not the blood of Abraham flowing in his veins, who has not one particle of the Savior's in him, I am afraid is a stereotyped Gentile, who will be left out and not be gathered in the last days; for I tell you it is the chosen of God, the seed of the blessed, that shall be gathered. I do not despise to be called a son of Abraham, if he had a dozen wives; or to be called a brother, a son, a child of the Savior, if he had Mary, and Martha, and several others, as wives; and though he did cast seven devils out of one of them, it is all the same to me." Who shall declare his generation? I, a direct descendant of my Father, Jesus of Nazareth, declare it to the world. I have the keys of the Kingdom of God by lineage and by right (proper conferral of the Apostleship in 1974 which holds all the keys "ever delivered to the sons of Adam").

"He [Brigham Young] stated that the Seventies ARE ORDAINED APOSTLES and when they go forth into the ministry they are sent with power to build up the Kingdom in all the world and consequently have power to ordain High Priests and also to ordain and organize a High Council." I leaped and shouted for joy.

I was then commanded to go out and preach to the world, which I have not ceased to do since that day (Feb, 1979). No one believes, except Aaron, but what of it? It just shows how wicked and corrupt you are, that you do not inquire of God for yourselves, but lean on a set of men and pin your salvation upon the sleeve of another. Every tub must stand on its on bottom, saith the Lord.

The Lord saw your condition and here is what he prophesied concerning you:

11 Yea, they have all gone out of the way; they have become corrupted.
12 Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up.

So here we have two witnesses, one Brigham Young, the other myself exposing this liar as the fraud he is, as all cultural Mormons are. Mark Hacking and Mark Hoffman, cultural Mormons, were exceeding expert liars, as this fool is.

In February of 1835, the Prophet Joseph Smith organized the First Quorum of Twelve Apostles and the First Quorum of Seventy Apostles. These two quorums of Apostles were set apart for the work of the ministry to the nations of the earth.

On Saturday, the 14th of February, 1835, a two days' convention or conference was convened, at which, after a week's notice, those brethren who had accompanied the Prophet to Missouri in the camp were called together, and it was announced that from their numbers would be chosen the quorum of the twelve apostles and their assistants in the work of the foreign ministry of the church, the seventy. (C.H.C. 1:371)

Through the years both the nature and office of the apostolic calling of the Seventy has become lost or forgotten. The gradual erosion of this calling has almost abolished it as an active office in the Church. Yet the Prophet Joseph Smith continually referred to this office from its inception. He wrote:

This day the Council of the Seventy met to tender an account of their travels and ministry, since they were ordained to that Apostleship. (D.H.C. 2:346)

Later when the Kirtland Temple was dedicated, the Prophet Joseph arose and said:

I then called upon the quorums and congregation of Saints to acknowledge the Twelve Apostles, who were present, as Prophets, Seers, Revelators, and special witnesses to all the nations of the earth, holding the keys of the kingdom, to unlock it, or cause it to be done among them, and uphold them by their prayers, which they assented to by rising. I next called upon the quorums and congregation of Saints to acknowledge the presidents of Seventies, who act as their representatives, as Apostles and special witnesses to the nations, to assist the Twelve in opening the Gospel kingdom among all the people, and to uphold them by their prayers, which they did by rising. (D.H.C. 2:417-18)

It is interesting to note that at the first organization of the Seventy, the Prophet Joseph instructed Sidney Rigdon to confer upon Joseph Young "all the priesthood, powers, blessings, keys, and authority that they themselves possessed."

In referring to this memorable period the Prophet Joseph gave him (referring to Joseph Young) the first intimation of his call to this sacred office by saying: "The Lord has made you President of the Seventies" and further refers to his ordination in his writing. Prior to his ordination the Prophet instructed his counselor, Sidney Rigdon, to confer upon him all the Priesthood, powers, blessings, keys and authority that they themselves possessed, which was strictly observed. This was on the 28th day of February 1835, which position of President of all the Seventies he held until the day of his death. When Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball were ordained Apostles, they had previously been Elders. They had never been High Priests and some of the High Priests thought that it would be necessary for them to be ordained High Priests even after they were ordained to the Apostleship.

Such a suggestion made Joseph righteously angry. Said he, "My brethren, with as much as I have taught you, and as many revelations as have been given on the subject of the priesthood, that you should ask such a question! It would be an insult to the priesthood of the Son of God to ordain a man a high priest after he had been ordained an apostle; for the apostleship holds all the keys of the priesthood upon the face of the earth, to build up the kingdom of heaven, to sanctify the people and prepare them to enter into the presence of God the Father. Now, to say that such a man, holding this priesthood, should be ordained a high priest is an insult, and I want to hear no more about it." (Brigham Young, Des. News, June 6, 1877)

The calling and mission of the Seventy Apostles has always been synonymous with that of the Twelve Apostles. The distinction between the two councils is almost indiscernible since they are called to the same field of labor, as ministers of the gospel and witnesses of Christ. It is for thee reasons they have been called "Apostles."

Notice, on the following page, the similarity between the Apostles and Seventies in both authority and calling in the revelations of the Lord:

The twelve traveling councilors are called to be the Twelve Apostles, or special witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world--thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling. (D.&C. 107:23)

And they form a quorum, equal in authority and power to the three presidents previously mentioned. (D.&C. 107:24)

The Twelve are a Traveling Presiding High Council, to officiate in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Presidency of the Church, agreeable to the instruction of heaven; to build up the church, and regulate all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and secondly unto the Jews. (D.&C. 107:33)

THE SEVENTY

The Seventy are also called to preach the gospel, and to be especial witnesses unto the Gentiles and in all the world--thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling. (D.&C. 107:25)

And they form a quorum, equal in authority to that of the Twelve special witnesses of Apostles just named. (D.&C. 107:26)

The Seventy are to act in the name of the Lord, under the direction of the Twelve or the traveling high council, in building up the church and regulating all the affairs of the same in all nations, first unto the Gentiles and then to the Jews. (D.&C. 107:34)

[106] At the reorganization of the Seventies in 1844, Brigham Young said:

If an Elder wants to go preaching, let him go into the seventies. You are all apostles to the nations to carry the gospel. (Imp. Era 35:215)

And Amasa Lyman spoke at the dedication of the Seventies Hall in December 1844:

After speaking of authorities in the church or kingdom of God, he observed that apostles in the primitive age of Christianity were first made witnesses to all the nations of the earth. They were afterwards made judges of that same people. Hence the saying of the Apostle, know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? That is the generation or people to whom they were sent as witnesses. (See 1st Cor. 6:2,3) Indeed they were competent to sit in judgment upon them, having had an experimental knowledge of their course of conduct and barbarous treatment towards the servants of God that were sent to establish peace among them. Many of whom they did not only reject, but tortured and slew them in a cruel manner. This was the fate of the Prophets and Apostles who vainly attempted to restore them from their wickedness, assuring them, to use the language of the scripture: As you mete out to others, so shall be it measured to you again. (Times & Seasons, Vol. 6, p. 795-796)

In 1845 at the Nauvoo Temple, questions again arose concerning the authority of the Seventy.

A conversation then ensued on the distinctions of office or power between a President of the Seventies and a member of the High [107] Council or a High Priest. It arose in consequence of some of the High Council having been washed and anointed by some of the Presidents of the Seventy and inasmuch as there had been some considerable difference in the views of the Brethren in regard to the difference of authority between the High Council and the Seventies, President Young concluded it would be wisdom to have the subject understood at this early stage of business, so as to prevent any feelings or disputes arising on the subject hereafter. He stated that the Seventies are ordained Apostles and when they go forth into the ministry they are sent with power to build up the Kingdom in all the world and consequently have power to ordain High Priests and also to ordain and organize a High Council. Some of the High Priests have been ready to quarrel on the subject supposing that they had power and authority above the Seventies and some in their zeal for power have abused and trampled on the feelings of some of the Seventies. (History of Brigham Young Manuscript, December 14, 1845.)

Years later President Brigham Young continued to support these views by adding:

What ordination should a man receive to possess all the keys and powers of the Holy Priesthood that were delivered to the sons of Adam? He should be ordained an Apostle of Jesus Christ.... You read in the revelation alluded to that when the Twelve were called and ordained, they possessed the same power and authority as the three First Presidents; and in reading further you find that there must needs be appendages and helps growing out of this Priesthood. The Seventies possess the same [108] power and authority; they hold the keys of establishing, building up, regulating, ordaining, and setting in order the kingdom of God in all its perfections upon the earth. We have a quorum of High Priests, and there are a great many of them. They are a local body--they tarry at home; but the Seventies travel and preach; so also do the High Priests when they are called upon. They possess precisely the same Priesthood that the Seventies, and the Twelve and the First Presidency possess; but are they ordained to officiate in all the authority, powers, and keys of this Priesthood, No, they are not; still they are High Priests of God: and if they magnify their Priesthood, they will receive at some time all the authority and power that it is possible for man to receive. (Brigham Young, J.D. 9:87-88)

On January 25, 1846, Parley P. Pratt conversed with some brethren in the Celestial Room of the Temple on the subject of authority and Priesthood. He gave the following counsel:

He said that in case the quorum of the Twelve should by any means become disorganized, that the Seventies held the jurisdiction and authority of Presidency of the Church in all the world wherever it might be found. That the High Priest's duty would be the same as it is now; they have to attend to their affairs, but the authority of Presidency over the whole Church belonged to the Seventies; and if all the Seventies were killed off except one Seventy, that Seventy would not only possess the right but would be in duty bound to stand in their place as the First Presidency of the Church. He said that Joseph Smith the Prophet undertook to establish this idea in the minds of the brethren in Kirtland, but the jealousies [109] that began to arise in the minds of the High Priests prevented him doing so; he, therefore, left the matter undecided. He further stated that the difference between the authority of the Seventies and the High Priests was this: The High Priests possessed the High Priesthood, but the Seventies possessed the High Priesthood and the Apostleship which was the highest power on the earth or in the Church. A man might be a prophet and seer and not be in the Church or even baptized; and Joseph Smith was a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator before he was even baptize, or had any Priesthood whatever, but having proved faithful in the thing that was committed to his charge, God sent John the Baptist, to ordain him a priest after the order of Aaron; and having been faithful to this latter trust the Almighty sent Peter, James, and John unto him in due time and ordained him an Apostle and first Elder in the Church which was the highest authority of all. (Parley P. Pratt, Nauvoo Record Book B, p. 226)

To further give evidence of this calling under Brigham Young's administration, the apostleship was referred to in the ministering license of the Seventies to preach. This was an actual license over a hundred years ago:
