A Letter to a Protestant Minister

Dear Mr. Alamo,

I read your testimony of how you were converted and I have a bone to pick with you which is very important for your salvation as well as my own. And I will promise you if I am wrong I will repent and I think if you are wrong you should repent. You say the prayer below is all that is necessary for a person's salvation and there is the problem:

"My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. "

However in order to be saved it takes more than just verbal repentance. Your doctrine violates the law of God as shown in the scriptures below.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

(Mark 16:16)

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(Acts 2:38)

18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

(Acts 8:18)

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

(1 Tim 4:14)

So on top of repenting you also have to be baptized in order to be saved. And you have to have hands laid on your head for the gifts of the Holy Ghost "of the presbytery". Even devils confess with their mouths, acknowledging that God exists. I know you have a hundred churches, but what doth it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul? Where is you authority? Where is your legal administrator? Paul was directed by Jesus himself to a legal administrator named Ananias even though he spoke directly with the Lord in vision. Again where is your Ananias? You have no authority. I know if you don't respond to this notice it is because you love darkness rather than light because your deeds are evil as outlined above. Surely, perverting the way of the Lord is evil, is it not?

20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.

(Isa 8:20)

Sincerely,

Aaron Kim

26 Even so, come unto me and learn of my ways, and I will give unto you, even as many as shall come, that peace which surpasseth understanding, and if ye shall inquire of me concerning these things, will I the Lord manifest by the influence and power of the Holy Ghost that these things are verily true and are of me, saith the Lord.
