Getting and keeping the Holy Ghost.  Fighting the good fight. Walking the tightrope, keeping balance and recognizing promptings of the Spirit, and then obeying these, leads to happiness, life and salvation in this life and eternal life in the world to come.  Holy Ghost, the gift of, can only be obtained after baptism for a remission of sins, and then the laying on the hands of an Apostle as anciently.  All other systems are shams and lies which do not fit the ancient pattern.

 19 And this greater priesthood (Melchizedek) administereth the gospel and holdeth the key of the mysteries of the kingdom, even the key of the knowledge of God.
 20 Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest.
 21 And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh;
 22 For without this no man can see the face of God, even the Father, and live.
 23 Now this Moses plainly taught to the children of Israel in the wilderness, and sought diligently to sanctify his people that they might behold the face of God;
 24 But they hardened their hearts and could not endure his presence; therefore, the Lord in his wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory.
 25 Therefore, he took Moses out of their midst, and the Holy Priesthood also;

·         10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (New Testament | Galatians 1:10 - 12)
