Special Keys Conferred upon President of the Church?
by Art Bulla
One of the mythologies that stand in the way of the redemption of Zion is the common misperception and false teaching that the president of the church possesses more keys than the 12 in the 70. Such is not the case, because Joseph Smith said this:
"The Savior said when these tribulations should take place, it should be committed to a man who should be a witness over the whole world: the keys of knowledge, power and revelations should be revealed to a witness who should hold the testimony to the world. Joseph Smith;TPJS
This is not the president of the church, saith the Lord!
The 70s are Apostles to the world and hold all the keys, and since that the advent of the One Mighty and Strong it was necessary that they become disorganized "by any means", in other words, a means other than death, which includes "Amen to the priesthood of that man" because the "heavens are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven", and when that man stretches forth his hand the steady the ark of God is prophesied in D&C 85 and is smitten with the shaft of death is spoken of by the Lord, and since the quorum of the 12 and 70 unitedly with one voice consented to mingle with the black race of Cain along with him, then they were necessarily dissolved, saith the Lord! The First Presidency has no special keys apart from the 12, and the First Presidency in the day Joseph and Oliver receive the keys for the Church through the medium of the Lord's anointed, who was Joseph Smith, at that time, which is the superior office in the priesthood, which is not chosen by the Church but by the Lord along as in the case of Samuel anciently and his relationship with the president of the Church, Eli, "…for the apostleship holds all the keys…" Joseph

· 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (New Testament | Galatians 1:10 - 12)
