Idols of Wood and Stone Ancient and Modern

Abraham destroyed idols of his father, Terah, Prime Minister of Nimrod. Abraham lived with Noah and Shem who is Melchizedek. Modern idolatry practiced by Mormons whose "prophets" are as wood and stone, in that they do not receive any revelation, only "manifestos":

242 For, saith the Lord, there is no agency except their own wicked hearts of unbelief, in your prophets at all, but they, even they, are as wood and stone. 243 Therefor it is, O Israel, that for this idolatry, that ye shall be cut off from under the heavens, if it so be that ye continue on in the stubbornness and rebellion of your hearts. 244 Therefore mock not, for all shall be con¬sumed at that day, and he who fights against Zion shall be damned and burned. 245 Therefor beware that ye raise not your heel against mine annointed, and judge no longer after appearances, for do I not cover the heavens with sackcloth and make the rivers to dry up that the fish stink, that ye may know of my power? 246 And I will prove them and see who is acquainted with my voice. The Revelations of Jesus Christ, Section 2.

8 And Terah had twelve gods of large size, made of wood and stone, after the twelve months of the year, and he served each one monthly, and every month Terah would bring his meat offering and drink offering to his gods; thus did Terah all the days. 9 And all that generation were wicked in the sight of the Lord, and they thus made every man his god, but they forsook the Lord who had created them. 10 And there was not a man found in those days in the whole earth, who knew the Lord (for they served each man his own God) except Noah and his household, and all those who were under his counsel knew the Lord in those days. Book of Jasher, Chapter 11.

When a man goes about prophesying, and commands men to obey his teachings, he must either be a true or false prophet.

·         10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (New Testament | Galatians 1:10 - 12)
